We desperately need a big strong defensive midfielder
I’ve read today (and don’t know where to find it now) that we’ve been linked with Stoke midfielder Tashan Oakley Booth. Don’t know if he’s defensive but looks like he’s a big lad! This will have been somewhere on either this or t’other forum.

What a signing Roberts is. Brilliant by the club. He fits the bill perfectly. Will bring balance to our left hand side, has brilliant vision, beats men for fun, delivery is good and scores goals. Him and Cirkin will terrorise teams. Cant wait to see the lad play.
Sorry to be that bloke mate but doesn't he tend to play from the right?

Kinda fits the bill, young player who lost his way. Hasn't played at all this season according to his Wikipedia page

What's bizarre is that Football Insider are so ITK about our transfers that they knew we would announce at 3pm. But they said it was a loan.

What's that about? Who's giving them that news if they think is a loan?

Clearly its somebody who knows we are going to announce it at that time. And all 3 of us, City and Troyes announced at same time. So it could be that they actually got the news from Troyes. Or they got the news from somebody in our "office" who knew the announcement was happening but not privy to detail.

No need to be sorry mate. When I saw him at Derby he played as a bit of a left sided 10, if that makes sense. He played off the right at celtic. I am assuming we have taken him for the left side to fill the McGeady role. We have enough on the right I think in Dujaku and Gooch. Just my guess but someone with as good a left foot as him should find playing in that left hand slot of the 3 easy.

Just think.
With this new signing who is supposed to be a bit of a tricky player, we could have him, Pritchard and McGeady behind the leagues top scorer.

It could be like the Harlem Globe Trotters if they all are on their game.
Being fed clever passes by our boy Neil and with Cirkin and Huggins doing their magic.
What a team to watch.

Dont forget we have Broadhead to return yet aswell. We also have Embleton, Dajaku and dare i say Gooch aswell (if its one of his good days).
Not many league 1 clubs will cope with that much attacking talent.

I still don't understand why some think that Defoe is not match fit just because he hasn't had game time.

I'm an ex- FA coach and every squad player without injury, trains together.

....and if injury free, all those players are ready to start ...fact !

If we got two CF's in, including Defoe, and he only came on for the last 20 mins in every game (for those who thinks he's too old) he will still have a direct impact on those games.

KLD will make the final decision on this me thinks....

Exactly. If we get two centre forwards. What if its only one. In that scenario I think Defoe would be a bad choice.
