I think he's also less unilaterally responsible for transfers than people make out. We have a Chief Scout who plays a big part too and completely goes under the radar, no one ever talks about him. He appeared on a podcast a while ago and talked a bit about the process City use for transfers. I found it really interesting.
Are you sure it was a Chief Scout and not LD? LD definitely did a couple of podcasts / interviews a couple of months back about our transfer approach etc. It was really odd timing in terms of why silent for years and then all of sudden come out and start talking when a takeover announcement was expected within a few weeks (!!).

It was the chief scout Stuart White. See the link I posted above if you're interested.

It says we've made an official bid for him.

Seen a couple of journalists say that today so there's likely substance to it.

Regardless of whether we get him, €5m looks real value when elsewhere in the Championship Cardiff want £10m for Moore even though he's only got 5 goals so far. It's just utterly obscene

He's the bloke who was responsible for knocking Leicester out of the Europa League.

€5m seems a bit steep though, Fenerbahce paid €850k for him and subsequently decided he wasn't good enough.
They seem to be taking the piss out of Acun that he wants to buy the full Fenerbahce side.

Was a good insight. Seems a bit up Darnos arse and the elephant in the room was the success (not) of getting value from the Slutsky/Adkins era signings but still a good insight.
