Never really felt Magennis or Eaves have been up to the task of what we have actually needed in the Championship, but you can't fault his performances last season - played a big part in us winning the league title.

He's not carried that form into this season, but I still think he's been the best of a bad bunch when it comes to leading the line.

He leaves with more positives than negatives (despite a record number of offsides and being too busy to respond to me in the old town back in September, as he was trying to hide the fact he was scoffing pizza off the floor at the entrance to the car park next to Eikona <laugh> )

We signed him from Bolton on a free because of their financial troubles and we have probably received a small fee for him so good business to sell now rather than wait until the summer when his contract is up and it gets his wage off the payroll. Hopefully the transfer money can clear the outstanding loan so we can sign a better replacement

Let's be honest with ourselves here, neither big Josh or Eaves are of a Championship standard, they are good honest pros for sure, but they aren't what a team needs who wants to press up the table. If both go on to leave during this window I wish them the best and thank them for their efforts especially last season. Let's hope the new incoming owner and DOF have a good eye for a decent scorer, cos at this level we definitely need one or even more. Goals win you games.

It will be a nominal fee and nowhere near enough to pay off the loan IMO...

For Burnley? Probably unless they buy Brereton-Diaz or someone like that.
Do you think BD will look at Burnley other than having not to move house.!!!!!!!±@@@!!!... I think he'd rather stay at Blackburn... and there would be another issue for him... simmering hatred... besides Real Madrid or Barcelona (shown interest) or Burnley.... Hmmmmm

Perhaps yes. As I said, him or someone like him. Otherwise Burnley are certainly going down.

Good signing for Toon though, he's never crocked and should score 5-8 goals for them in the second half of the season, AND weakens a relegation rival.

Chris Wood £25 million .... its gone chuffing mental!!!!.... two people laughing Chris Wodd, Burnley Chairman.... thats another relegation slot sorted then.
Not sure the chairman will be laughing when dyche hits him with a list of proven pl strikers that will replace woods goal return. I don’t think he’ll get any change out of his 25 million

Burnley don’t get a proven PL striker, that’s not how it works. Anyone with a history of knocking ball in’t bag will have better offers. They will have to gamble once again like all the lower end clubs.

Yeah I understand that, it’s just a big risk taking selling your best striker in jan to a relegation rival. Especially when you can’t replace him with what dee you’ve got

exactly what West Ham did to us with Snoddy. Burnley are now doomed.
