Anyone know if the parameters of the app were changed? I seem to remember at the start it would advise if you'd spent 15 minutes at under two metres with someone. I recently read (one article so don't know how accurate) that this variant can transmit in 15 seconds and hangs around in air - so if adjusted to take that into account, is that the reason for so much pinging ?

I got pinged a fortnight ago for fcuk all, I've deleted the app now, was the correct decision in light of Boris Johnsons action on self isolation. The chief medical people must be frustrated to fcuk.

I think they got flack for saying they were adjusting it so it didn't get changed. I don't think the app was designed to cope with this amount of virus around.

They either think the electorate are too thick to realise they are taking the piss, or they don't care what the electorate think. Either way shows their utter contempt for the electorate. Absolute power corrupts absolutely has never been so appropriate.

I've noticed there's very little defence of these people, even from staunch Tories ...

... but I don't think people will change their opinions tbh.

Those in the North who voted for them can't turn against them while the big carrots of 'levelling up' and fish quotas are being dangled. The PM is doing a 'Mike Ashley' and creating an enemy they can all untite against. The PL/EEC are the bogeymen, in their eyes, which keeps things quiet.

It's a tactic the Tories have always used... Divide and rule. The have demonised the Labour party, the unemployed and immigrants previously. Now it is those evil EU bastards. Meanwhile they plunder the public purse for their own personal gain. Job's a gud un.

At least we are allowed to slag them off in this country though, unlike some other places.

Bonko and his pal have now made a u-turn and will self-isolate after all. They would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids.....

all the money spent on apps and 'research'...seems somewhere along the line a friend or relative of those in power have benefitted enormously and still people think the government is 'only doing what is best'
