Sanderson would be a great first signing of our Championship assault and would be a bit of a statement signing as well. I think him and Willis could be a really good pairing together as well. They both suffer from the odd lapse in concentration but I'm sure that could be overcome.

No promotion though and I don't think we would have a chance unfortunately.

No promotion might mean another season long loan though?

You're wise not to say too much mate.

As you know there's some horrendous things bave gone on and it's of no further benefit for people to know. It would just cause more bad feeling and create an air of suspicion around people remaining at the club. The new people need to feel they can trust everyone not to be feeding out information.

It's just satisfying for those 'insiders' to know what they've previously leaked has helped bring Donald and Methven down. But, as you also know, the people who did the most damage to their aims were themselves.

Time to look forward and wash our hands of them ...

.... just my opinion.

Wise words indeed. I think everyone should do the same and just forget them, they’re yesterday’s news. We need to stop reliving the bad times and start simply enjoying the fantastic opportunity that’s come our way.

Not sure, after this season I believe he has 1 year at Wolves left so they may look to extend and loan again or sell if he wants first team football. League 1 SAFC just depends on how much he 'buys in' to the future plans I suppose.

Either way, I'd like to get him in permanently. Would be a nice change to actually sign a loan player who has done well as opposed to watching them go on to sign for Chelsea for 20 odd million etc.

He signed a new long term deal when they announced he was coming here on loan.

That article says 1 year left but then again it is the Daily Fail so who knows. Either way, it's a good sign we're trying to get him and hopefully it comes of.

'Sanderson, who has a year left on contract at Wolves, had interest from Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday in the summer and Sunderland are aware competition for his signature is increasing with every assured performance'

New deal is only until 2022, should we get promoted and offer them a few million you’d imagine they would seriously consider it. He would only have a year left on his contract and he’s not ready to be starting in the premier league. Sell him and get a sell on clause attached

He is exactly the signing we want to be making from now on. Young with bags of potential. To think we signed Graham again at the start of the season!

Worth a re read from the start. Lol. Knowing it will a great ending.
Been said before on here but if you’ve read this thread from the start it’s the equivalent of reading War & Peace 3 times. War and Peace has 587,000 words, 42,000 posts x average 50 words a post = 2,100,000 words.

This is way funnier than War & Peace by the way <laugh>

I know it’s off topic etc but with improvements moving forward I seriously think we are well behind with atmosphere/songs we sing to other clubs. I think back to the playoffs against Charlton, their whole end was bouncing singing, looked amazing, we still sing my garden shed etc. That’s just an example but generally our songs etc are pretty boring and standard and same ones for last 25 years

Not too sure mate.

We'd all just been to Wembley, Charlton supporters had a very short journey and they had 3 songs ...

... plus, by then, our football was tragically dull.

It was disappointing but there's been loads of away games where we've sung our heads off.

Unless you go to away games you wouldn't appreciate the variety and originality of our songs tbh.

Portsmouth have two songs both of which are ancient.

I was right next to them ..it was one repetitive tune easy to group chant . so all their first game of the season fans knew what to do ....

I was just using them as an example. I mean our songs in general are outdated, we never seem to have any new ones etc. I’ve been going home and away for years, we sing the same songs constantly. Just my opinion though

You're right though, some supporters do have some great songs ...

I've just had time to listen to KLD's interview. Nicely paced, he didn't say all that much really, but exactly what all of us wanted to hear. A proper approach and a long term plan. I can't remember any club, in any era doing anything without both of those. I doubt we'll be having many wanting to row the boat in a direction different to the common goal. I am old enough to be a pessimistic fecker, but I am as certain as it is possible to be that we are coming back.

For the likes of Nick Barnes, and anyone else who might think that the comment regarding under investment and asset stripping was some linguistic error, you should think again. KLD was not door stepped here, it was a set piece which is a better way of introducing himself than any statement, and his English is top drawer. (Along with many others who have mastered another language to that level, his grasp of grammar and idiom will be better than many native speakers).

And there is this: I doubt very much that it was a coincidence that he gave his interview, in which he would certainly have planned to say exactly what he said, at the same time as announcing that a very heavyweight lawyer was joining the board. If Mr Donald does not like the implications of KLD's remarks, he knows what to do. I don't expect we'll be hearing much from him on he matter.
