I always said I'd like to keep Rodwell a bit for the transition so was surprised he went today. But actually that's because the transition has already happened.
Davison is essentially the new Rodwell. He was given the title COO to avoid comparison to CEO. We don't need a CEO if KLD is going to be an executive (day-to-day) Chairman.
Davison was brought in a month ago to get a full handover from Rodwell before the sale completed.
Essentially KLD is Chairman and CEO. And in a strange sort of way, KLD is Rodwell's replacement. Rodwell was only here because the owner was absent. Now the owner isn't absent, he's redundant.

This is all a bit of a conundrum for the pessimists, oops I mean realists, who are demanding a statement of intent 'before they can get excited'.

It sounds good,but neither Davison or KLD have the essential experience in the business world in which they're operating. We will need a football CEO imo.
maybe once we get up to the championship or premier league. but not in league one, I think.
Too many chiefs not needed. We need indians.
Maybe we should spare a thought for them.

Not at all! Everything is being set up now for our drive to the top....the sooner these key positions are filled,the better. Everything we need for our assault on the PL needs to be set up now.
