Oh aye it makes perfect sense, good planning for the reasons you gave. It's decent football over there but they don't have the money.
 
thing is, i think we all 'like' maguire but as has been said we simply cannot carry him for the amount of games he fails to turn up...which is a shame for him more than anything as i believe if he put the effort in to be consistent he could have been seen as at least a championship player, on his day a match winner.

have a feeling grigg is away, just waiting for a decision elsewhere...hope he goes and he finds his 'mojo' again and returns on fire.

other than that, LJ and the new backroom staff give me a lot more confidence than most, if not all, that have been replaced over the past 10 years and beyond mainly as they are not running around like headless chickens trying to appease the fans by shoe-horning any fecker in...the wage cap most likely plays a part here as well but even then, there does not seem the same 'panic in the ranks'.

Really good signing for this level and completely out the blue. I think we’re really desperate for a left back though, hoping we can get one over the line.

Need a LB, Striker and creative midfielder
 
Jones and Gooch behind the inform O’Brien and Wyke and we’re a threat on the break with other options on the bench. I do think we need to lose a couple Maguire and Graham being the obvious ones but we also seem to have one too many in midfield to help the likes of Neil play and one too many options for right back.

McGeady will be gone in the summer methinks. Good planning getting this lad in. Looks like the striker is sorted and I would imagine a LB will be incoming as well.

What has pleased me is the deals appear to have been virtually completed prior to the press getting hold of anything. To the best of my knowledge we were not linked to any of these players.
