I'll ask again then. Whats happened with the Americans today mateAmerican money still needs sorting and there was still stuff to sort out equity-wise. Which is now turning out to be true.

Not convinced his posts have been pretty bland and generally in answer to questions. Suspect if he had much he'd be all over ithe’s been saying it’s Sartori and his mates and not FPP throughout, whilst this forum was adamant it was Fuhrman, he was saying it wasn’t.
he’s also been saying the last couple of weeks that it’s not as advanced as some think because American money still needs sorting and there was still stuff to sort out equity-wise. Which is now turning out to be true.
So I wouldn’t say he’s been way off the pace. Quite the opposite in fact.

But never mind he may know more as you say
In any case. it's another little piece of this takeover jigsaw. So little verified info it's been facinating trying to piecie together what's going on
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as I see it FPP want all their money back (11.8m) to allow a takeover to happen. If SD can't or doesn't repay this, he loses the club to FPP. KLD is prepared to pay £22m (ish) for a stake in the club now, with a further payment to SD down the line for his remaining shares. Now if I was KLD I'd be speaking to FPP and suggesting that they just let the situation develop into a crisis and let the club pass to FPP, at which point KLD steps in and buys the club from FPP for a sum somewhere between 11.8 and 22 m ( say 17m ) , which gives both parties a great deal, and ****s SD off completely. Is this realistic?
I think that Donald is desperate to sell, but prospective buyers have him by the short and curly’s. Prior to the pandemic he valued the club at around £38m, since that valuation the club has gone from a healthy income and making a small profit, to 9 months with no income and losing £1m per month
Prospective buyers are in a very strong negotiating position and any offer will be much lower than the initial valuation by Donald and will reflect the lack of income and the uncertainty about when crowds will be allowed back into the SOL
I can’t stand the bloke but I am not sure he is to blame for the current delay because every month it goes on, shaves £1m from his profit. If it was me I would want the deal done yesterday not tomorrow
He did. However today's tweet followed a very typical pattern with him. He's very clever at taking stuff and linking it to controversial possibilitiesNixon has two types of tweets. The ones where he answers questions and are very vague, and the ones where he proactively tweets definitive stuff. His tweet today wasn’t vague at all. It was specifically saying the Americans haven’t been paid yet and are demanding to be paid as soon as takeover done, which it isn’t yet as KLD wants more of the club.
Which is tremendous news as between FPP and KLD they have Donald over a barrel. The fear is Donald is now going to try a miraculous escape by feigning financial poverty to get a football league grant that will cripple us but allow him another punt at lucking out with a promotion. It’s like he’d be all in. And seeing he’s barely spent any of his own money I fear it’s a reckless gamble he might be willing to take.

Rodwells article saying it's complicated and there is still stuff sort out. Followed by Nixon tweeting what I suspect was speculation on what is to be sorted
Maybe that's just me being cynical about journalists. Either way I'm not too worried at the moment the more shares Donald gives up the better
However the longer it goes on I wouldn't put anything past SD
Just happy we appear to have a football team again to take our minds off it
Not sure what we'll do when this is all sorted find the debate and the different views fascinating trying to piece together what's becoming a real jigsaw of infothis is all fair.
And the last point is spot on. This takeover can take as long as it wants as long as we are winning. If Donald lucks his way to two promotions and a premier league title I’ll be the first calling for a knighthood when currently we want him crucified![]()

Suppose we'll just have to get back to talking football
Was it?
Nah, it'll be over soon. As the song goes...this is all fair.

Sorry mate. Didn't mean to come across like that. Is there a link to the FPP thing or can you summarise please.Nice. Find out for yourself mate.
I think it’s fair to say the general consensus thought it was at the time. The word “adamant” possibly not the right one, the point I was making was more that Nixon’s stance on it has been closer to what is coming to fruition than the we had all thought when we were writing him off.
‘Someone else’ would spend a lot of time doing DD and it would still cost him a fortune waiting.i guess the risk for both parties here is that Donald finds somebody else to sell to in the mean time.
For FPP to get the club, Donald is essentially writing off the club as valued at whatever the remaining FPP loan is. At that point if and Tom dick or Harry comes up with a £15m bid he might take it if the only alternative is FPP.
Im still confident KLD is going to win this. I think today’s “developments” are great news even if it’s disappointing that it appears an announcement may not be as imminent as hoped
