If the takeover is 2 weeks away from being official I really hope we don't wait till then to give parky the boot

If satori is having a much bigger role in the club he needs to get shot now
If Satori, Donald and Methven are all still going to be involved then you’d think they would be happy to pull the trigger now, it’s not like it’s a whole new set of owners coming in. Even if there is a caretaker, until young Kyril is onboard to agree permanent replacement.

Are people that convinced that its definately only Parkinson that is stopping this squad achieving promotion?

I'm not convinced myself. I'm happy with Parkinson moving on but I'm not as sure that these players even have promotion in them.

Who sacked Coleman? Was it Bain before the deal was signed or Donald as soon as it was completed?

If Coleman had been given some cash to bring in a goalkeeper who had hands and arms so he could catch a ball plus some cash for a striker, my guess is we would have not been relegated
He Coleman, got the s hitty end of a Short stick!

In terms of announcements, Coleman quickly followed by Donald the same evening.
I remember it all happening very quickly just couldn't remember what order it all came about. It's probably easier for the outgoing regime to pull the trigger and the new lot start with a clean slate. Saying that, it looks like Donald, Methven and Sartori are all staying on anyway.

Agreed, think we've already listed the few that could make the championship squad, Hume, O9, .... Feel free to help me out here.

I just don’t think it should be that difficult to get promoted from this league, when you see how inconsistent other teams are. Peterborough are supposedly the best team in the league and look at their recent results.

There are definitely limitations to this squad but just mixing it up a bit would surely result in us easily beating almost all teams in this league. Revert to 4 at the back, throw some of the young lads in to freshen it up i.e. Neil, Diamond and Embleton, attack teams from the off instead of playing cautiously and I don’t think we would have a problem going up. That’s all down to management in my opinion. We also have much greater squad depth than other teams.

Imagine how fuming PP will be today having basically been told McGeady has to start being involved again. After all the comments he has given to the press about him never playing here again etc.

Its the biggest slap in his face you could imagine. It may aswell of been delivered to him on a P45
Completely undermines Parkinson as a manager if someone is getting McGeady back involved, which is great news for us.

I liked him, decent and honest bloke working in very tough conditions.

Yep, Short had reached the end of his tether and turned off the cash flow by the time Coleman arrived (in many ways I can understand his frustration). The irony was when Donald came along up he wrote off, I believe, in excess of £100m. If Coleman had had half of that, I reckon we would be in the Championship.

I agree. The players are poor and any side that has Wyke leading line will struggle. But PP doesnt help himself

I had chance meeting with Coleman at my local golf club about 8 weeks ago. He came over as he saw my SAFC bag spent about half an hour talking to us. Basically went to Bain in January asked £200000 to get some loans and asked to speak to Short who refused to talk to him and blocked any money been spent. He also said him and the Mrs loved it up there. I asked why he came when his stock was high and the club was basket case he said he doesn’t regret it and would do again if asked. He believed he could get us back up and was astonished when he found out that Donald had bought the club. He also said the fans were outstanding he thought going to the end of season awards party was going to be nightmare but the fans were fantastic with him. Kit Symons who was with him said they knew the dressing room had bad eggs before they went but didn’t realise how bad it was. Fantastic bloke had loads time for me and the kids shame the way it worked out.

Yep, often the Welsh and NE get on, working class, mining, hate the tories, like a pint etc.

If Short hadn't got so pizzed of and 'cut his nose to spite his face' as it were, and given Coleman some funds, we would have been in a very different position now.
It could be that Short recognised his error and that is why he wrote off a lot that was owed to him later on.
