Great post mate. Thanks for the info. Always thought he had little or no backing, and this would appear to suggest just that.
SHARE PUBLISHED Il y a 35 minutes THROUGH Philippe Auclair louis dreyfus (kyril) louis dreyfus (maurice) (F. Faugere / L'Equipe) FF INFOSunderland: Louis-Dreyfus towards a galley? Will Kyril Louis-Dreyfus become a major player in Sunderland's future? Perhaps. But is it really a good idea? FF explains the situation to you. The English club Sunderland AFC , which has been sailing from crisis to crisis and from relegation to relegation for years (it is now in Division One, the English D3), is the object of the more than serious interest of Kyril Louis -Dreyfus (22 years old), one of the three sons of Margarita and Robert Louis-Dreyfus, the former owners of the Olympique de Marseille. He teamed up with Uruguayan politician and businessman Juan Sartori (39) - who also happens to be the son-in-law of AS Monaco owner Dmitri Rybolovlev - to take over this sleeping giant of English football . A French club also targeted? According to information gathered by France Football , the takeover of Sunderlandwould actually fit into a more ambitious framework. Louis-Dreyfus and Sartori would consider joining forces with one of Sunderland's current minority shareholders, Charlie Methven, with the aim of building a portfolio of three clubs based in England, Uruguay and ... in France, even if no indication has yet been given to us on the name of the potential target in France. Sunderland's potential is real, and its price seems reasonable at first glance (€ 25m for 59% of the capital), but local sources are concerned about the real state of the club's finances, and in particular the debts incurred by their principal current shareholder, Stewart Donald. Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, who can rely on the Akira family trust fund, is he really aware of the gravity of this economic situation? We doubt it on the spot, and we are surprised that buyers have apparently not yet carried out a complete due diligence of Sunderland's accounts, which, it seems, conceal surprises to its examiners ...
Just used Google translator, just seems a rehash of what we've already heard, apart from Methven being involved with the two of them and them all wanting a French side as well as the Uruguayan one we've already heard about Removed the translation as Andy has already posted it!
It lets you convert it to English as soon as you open the link mate. Basically saying not sure whether KLD knows the enormity of the task. Looking to collaborate with JS and CM also looking at 2 other other clubs to supplement us. One in France and one in Uruguay. Also says not all Due diligence has been completed.
He said been a Swansea boy he felt at home but also said his mrs loved it as well she’s a Hampshire girl
Just had a quick read through and it's much the same except suggesting the aim is possibly to buy Sunderland, a club in Uruguay and a club in France. They're also saying we look like a bargain, but the finances aren't clear and due diligence has yet to be done.
Imagine hoovering up all the young talent from France and Uruguay as well as investing in an already magnificent Cat 1 academy to avoid the salary cap!
You can't agree a deal without one. It looks like another catch up article imo. Nice to be talked about though.
Surely if it is another two weeks, the club has at least got to say something. RAWA should be on asking for a new meeting date by then
It’s like being a bairn on Xmas morning, waiting to come down the stairs and you’re parents saying he hasn’t been yet.
To be honest, I think the only reason Parkinson hasn't been sacked yet is that they're sorting out his replacement. Appointing a caretaker is OK, but who? If Parkinson is sacked, most likely his coaching staff will go as well, which means for a caretaker you either get someone from the academy if you go for an internal appointment or getting someone in from outside, and then is a question of who's interested and or available. I do think, though, that he'll be chopped pretty soon.
