Great post. Very interesting the amount of ‘investment’ going on and especially down at Seaburn on the seafront. Members of FPP couldn’t believe how cheap the properties were down on the front and now seeing a fair few houses being bought and renovated, 2 in particular just past Morrison’s look unreal and will cost an absolute fortune. Again maybe me reading too much into stuff but on of the properties where two houses have been flattened and going to be rebuilt on the from have ‘O’Brien’s demolition’ working on it.

Just had a look on RTG to see if they have any news ...

Page after page of the same people saying the same thing day after day. "There's no takeover, close this thread, no one knows anything, etc etc etc."

There's even one clown who's so confused he posted this,
"Didn't one on them on 606 promise to reveal his source if something didn't come off? Did that happen, or did 'things change'?"

So he's so convinced nothing's happening he's checking both takeover threads <laugh>

Not only that he's totally misquoting @Magnus. And to cap it all he's so clueless he's saying Magnus would reveal his source if it didn't come off. How can anyone say it hasn't come off if they know nothing? It seems the new catchphrase, to be repeated hourly is 'things change' as if everyone has said that, I believe it was MadBob.

Why keep posting on a thread they desperately hope is untrue ...

... it's like they have nothing better to do, which surely can't be the case.

Or can it ...

As much as I distrust Donald,I don't think Storey has any connection with him. Storey is a self absorbed Walter Mitty, who has decided to have some fun in trying to wind us all up,playing on the vaguaries of it all.
I have to disagree with you....I'm sure if the opportunity presented itself,he would allow himself to be used by anyone he could jump into bed with to further his own view of himself. It's most likely his behaviour throughout all of this has been solicited and encouraged by Mags.

TBF his one and only job is to get us promoted which he may well manage.

What would happen after that is anyone's guess.

I wanted FPP to come in and put all their plans into operation but, if all else fails, I want Donald, Methven and Parkinson to succeed.

I'm not so childish that, because I didn't get my own way, I'd want it to go tits up.

Any idea if this is all being timed for the club/fans meeting on the 12th maybe a chance for us to ask questions to the new owners ? Probably wishful thinking on my part like

I think you have the bones of it there LP. They are slippery feckers alright, but IMO, just useless and out of their proper element.

Like me in the water or in the air, I know I should be somewhere else.

It really is awful, not just that thread but the forum as a whole now. I know we've all been kicked in the nuts at times following the lads, I've learned to hope for the best but expect the worst, so not building your hopes up too much and having a bit of gallows humour is fine. But that forum now is just ridiculously negative. It doesn't matter that there's enough circumstantial evidence to say somethings happening without specifics being given out, it's just dismissed and anyone saying anything that goes against the flow is jumped on abd hounded. Too many there want to see us fail just to prove a point and if they're wrong, they won't hold up their hands and admit it, they'll double down and carry on and find fault with new owners/managers/players until they can say they're right and rub everyone else's noses in it

But it stinks. I say nothing before Christmas, then after Christmas well it could happen IN the Spring blah blah.

I have no idea mate sorry. But “I think” it would be timed for at least an announcement or some good news at that meeting. Wheatsheaf is the man to ask about dates, I’m not sure if he’s still being told it’s the 10th, I’ve lost track over the last week.

Think he said he was told if an agreement was to be reached it would of had to been by the 10th , no one has really heard anything about the supposed meetings that have took place, apart from @Smug in Boots this morning
