I started, as an exile, in 1971.

Since then I've seen incredible support and massive numbers, home & away, for 5 decades.

Our support is top class whatever some people try to claim ...
Your right there mate

You mean like the polio vaccine which was around for two hundred years until it was eradicated
add to that the up to 40% of muricans who said in a recent poll they wouldnt accept a vaccine ......pretty much double figures everywhere else n'all. All of which suggests it wont be turned off quickly

I find it amazing that our support still turns out in the numbers they do home and away bearing in mind how **** the team has been for most of our lives.

If we ever got a sniff of some sustained success it would be frightening. Those few seasons under Reid were a glimpse i suppose. Be nice to have that back again - not having to worry about setting record low points totals or ****ing up promotion from league 1

All I will say is

Just imagine selling/buying a business in this climate? It's literally unprecedented. Imagine the negotiations...

It's still ongoing. It's going to take time. Unfortunately, a pandemic is floating about.

At this moment, I am still confident.

Here’s a random takeover for you.

Ryan Reynolds is buying Wrexham. Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds.

He sold his Aviation Gin company for £650million or so, meaning we are now poorer than Wrexham.
Just because an owner has x amount of wealth does not mean that club has x amount of richness.
Last year we were buzzing with our takeover and how rich we were but the club is only as wealthy as what funds are invested.
Just like the scum with the Saudis, doesn’t mean they are the richest club in the world, thankfully not.

Hopefully our new owners will invest appropriately to take us forward.

Currently keeping everything I can crossed this comes off!

Me too mate. I am not posting regularly on this because of 2 reasons.

1. I am busy as **** personally

2. It's not possible to know the finer details. And lots of aspects do need to be ironed out. The climate society finds itself in at this moment in time, is a complicated one. That in turn will effect every type of business transaction. AT ALL LEVELS. Indemnities or not.

As ever, SAFC are not taking the bloody easy route!!!

Wouldn't have it any other way mind.

KTF.

I wouldn't be shocked to find out he was on some wind up of his wife.

Typical bloody Sunderland! I'm dipping in and out - still on furlough till end of October when i'll be made redundant - hopefully this is all done and dusted by then!

Great post that no one could argue with!

My ex-employer Sheikh is currently buying up endless London flats because the UK is seen as more stable than the Middle East ...

... his latest is 3.5m in Wandsworth.
I bet it's tiny aswell for that price

This might seem like balls mate but me, and a few lads from 606 and RTG, have a quick 'prayer meeting' every Sunday at 10am UK time. We play the following song and pray for every Sunderland supporter in whatever straits in which they find themselves. Sounds daft but it's the best I can do, I hope things turn out well for you mate.

Since last year you have given me and my lad (10) hope of a takeover.

You & Prehab give info and get abuse from some yet in the middle of all this offer help in your own way to fellow fans.

Epitomises what many feel an SAFC fan should be. Well played the 2 of you.

And Magnus has been canny with the info as well.

Tell you what mate, that message obliterates a thousand posts attacking me.

I love the Sunderland supporters I've travelled with for 50 years and would never post anything misleading.

There's been times when I've been tempted to stop posting info but posts like yours keep me going.

Tell your son that every single one of us appreciate his support and hope he knows what a special group of supporters he's part of.

Got something in my eye listening to that!

Cheers mate - Ive worked in IT support roles for the last 20 years. Have a few "side hustles" going which I'm seeing if I can turn them into a full time wage. I'm currently veering between blind optimism and blind panic currently.

I'm hoping at some point being able to take in a match at the SOL (i havent had a season ticket since 2011 when my first daughter was born - hoping to change this in the next couple of seasons fingers crossed!)

Lovely that mind - I have to say that as a cancer survivor the support I got on then RTG was excellent - the "love" Foggy gets is marvellous and uplifting. Hazey's story for those that remember was uplifting and heart-breaking at the same time. There is a core of supporters who genuinely care for each other on both boards. That's what makes Sunderland supporters a great family to be part of (because it's hard work following the team). Keep praying - we all need it at times

Amen to that marra.

I still have my last message, from Maximus, on my phone as a reminder of what a great family we are.
