Because on the flip side this second wave could be short lived and fans return and we have a great day on Boxing Day and are top of the league and are featuring on sky etc

If that happens I'll have been delighted to be wrong :D

Like I say - fingers crossed it all happens soon. I can't take much more. Trying not to get my hopes up too much and been logging in to here less as a result :D

There is a risk to any investment mate, it’s about how big your balls are so to speak

There'll always be some reason people believe they won't buy whether its the US Presidential elections, exchange rate, Brexit, Corona or the position of Venus in conjunction with the Moon ...

... but there's always a way to get a deal done.

I think you may have misinterpreted my post - I wasn't saying they won't buy. They clearly want to buy and will buy. I was just saying I don't understand the logic as to why they'd do it right now, when its nailed on they can do it at pretty much any point.

Yep - and these guys are billionaires because they make the right investments at the right time. I'm just questioning the timing. I'm not a billionaire though. So hopefully they've done their homework and HAVE decided now is the right time and we can all stop this agony :D

Sorry to piss on your chips mate, but this on the bus off the bus is going to go on for a considerable amount of time yet, even with a vaccine, the rollout will probably be the biggest logistical challenge this country has ever faced.

For someone so certain of things, your posts are now carrying a lot of " probably" in them.

No. Just as I’ve said before. I’m allowed an opinion. It’s a discussion forum. I’ll say what I think like others, explain what I’ve been told and then speculate and discuss a subject like anyone else. Only person who knows what’s happening is SD. You hear something one day and the next it’s rubbish as SD has changed his mind and going in another direction.

You are impatient and I get that so are many others, because if you had £9000 would you invest £37 to make £200 or you could end up with £25 then look at it like you have £9,000,000,000 and you invest £37,000,000 to make £200,000,000 or you could end up with £8.975,000,000, it makes no difference when it is done only to donald

Your not pissing on my chips mate I’m just creating a positive scenario, ok then we stay behind closed doors but the advertising and tv money increases because viewing figures are up

No, I'm saying that now is as good a time as any at the right price ...

.... as with everything.

I used to trade motorcycles and would happily pay £6000, in summer, for the same bike I'd only pay £4000 for in the winter.

Any commodity is the same, irrespective of time ...

Where have I mentioned you are not allowed to have an opinion ?
Agreed you hear different things, again though that's different to just making it up as you go along. Lol.

There are also those who claim he doesn't need the loan or doesn't intend to use it
Really. You borrow £9m pay up to £1m a year interest. Why
Covid has been talked about in the price and talked about fans not returning at all this season, the will have all the prices listed out for all the possible outcomes for the season, it was 1 of the last hurdles to sort out, which I believe has been sorted

It's happening. Get in ya bugger!!

The only direction SD is heading is towards the edge of a cliff , wonder how much grass he has in front of him before he bails out , not a lot I would think before he jumps .

That's the bit I'm questioning. I just don't think that's true. The club as an asset right now is losing cash and getting no income. The club will be the same club in 6 months but (potentially) have a revenue stream.

I completely get the summer / winter analogy - but why is now summer? It feels like the ice age to me.

You've got a good point there. Leaves all of the financial risk of running the club through these difficult times to SD.
Let SD hang himself financially and then take over for a fraction of the original price.

Shows they've got the interests of the club & fans at heart then. :emoticon-0120-doh:

You're entitled to your opinion, no problem.

This, what happens if around the end of the year a reliable vaccine(s) is released for public use, and the lockdown quickly become a thing of the past, the price of the club could become much more expensive, now could well be the time to buy.

Football changes fairly quickly dependent on results on the pitch , if we have a decent start to the season it may have an impact on the valuation of the club if we are toward the top of the league with a possibility of promotion.
