There would be more distance between a few hundred people in a 25,000 seat stadium than there will be between those milling about at a market.

Not when they're entering and exiting there isn't, being outdoors is much better than being in an enclosed space, which is why a shopping centre is obviously a much better example of the contradiction here.

Agreed and I can't believe the council haven't thought of putting up big gates to stop terrorists getting to the ground and killing everyone.

There is an issue. The market was re opened on the condition that they adhere to the social distancing etc. I was there the first week when it re opened at 6.00 am and the measures put in place was a few yards of yellow hazard tape, a women in a high viz jacket and a bottle of hand santitizer and a bog roll. There was also supposed to be a one way system which lasted all of ten minutes. That does compare to not allowing about 600 people, all known to the club and supervised sat within social distances in a 25,000 stadium. If a small crowd at football is deemed unsafe then having thousands of people, with no limits at all on the numbers, not knowing who they are, where they live and where they come from milling about, outdoor or not. If you don't see that then you are choosing not too.
This decision by HCC stinks the place out when they allow their own market to take place the very next morning.
I chose the market as a comparison because it comes under HCC rules and regulations on land owned by them, like the KC is.

Bollox! 600 people entering at different times through different entrances and sitting in different parts of an open air stadium is much safer then tons of people all close together in a market environment. Touching stuff, breathing on stuff ( those who refuse to wear masks ) and generally in close proximity to lots of other people.

They've only put them around The Guildhall instead at ratepayers expense.

Everything the council do is at the ratepayers expense. That's the way it works, everywhere. It's what rates are for.

You're forever slagging off Walton Street Market, but you were there the minute it re-opened. <laugh>

The fences around the Guildhall were installed on the same Government advice that the club took when the gate was installed at the KC.
If everything the council do is at ratepayers expense I would like to know how the person employed by the council who i am paying for came to this decision about the football whilst ignoring far more potential health risks at other venues, including their own.

If 600 people are entering and leaving through spaced out entrances then they will not be in close proximity. And, there will be less chance of meeting on the way out as fair few will have left 10 minutes early to avoid the rush as usual.

Why does anyone think that the council would do anything to help the Allams ? For years the petty vindictive childish ****s have been a thorn in the councils side and now some are surprised that they don't want to help, well fancy that.

I have just checked the Corona Virus website on the BBC. The latest figures show 6 cases per 100,000 people in Hull.
The average area in England had 16! 16 cases in Hull in the last week. 12 cases less than the previous week. Total cases to 17th September 1675 with 216 recorded Corona virus related deaths.
Think the Local Health and Council have got cancelling the trial of supporters at the KCOM wrong!

Shouldn't the £5m or so they have paid the council in business rates over the years and the fact that they employ rather a lot of people in HU3 be a factor ?

Do you really think the council put that gate up on Windass way?

The council tried to make them take it down, but the Allams resisted. Alright, let's break it down.

Do you believe they put it up for anti terrorism reasons? When replying, please take into account, you can get into West Park only about another 10,000 ways.

Was it OK to stop concessions for disabled people?

Consesions for the elderly? The Kids?

Was it a good idea to stop our young using the space, trampolines etc in the arena?

Was you happy with being called 'Hull Tigers'?

    Die when you want?

Football should be like the air that we breathe?

Are you alright that real fans that had been going for 70+ years, were asked to 'Earn their ****ing stipes'?

Are you good with the fact that so many have looked at the way your club is being run that they've just walked away, shaking their heads arms folded?

    Trust me and many others.

    We will never forget!

Windass Way ? I have seen the letter from the anti terrorist unit advising the club fence off the concourse around the stadium. That aside staff at the KC had bricks thrown at their cars from the walkway. West Park is still accessible.
Concessions for the disabled? Didnt agree but blame those using disabled tickets to gain access to the stadium when they were not etitled to them.
    3. Concessions for kids. See above.
Airco Arena. No-one was complaining when the SMC was picking up the annual short fall of about £300k for the airco. This was the councils responsibility not Hull City's. Every effort was made to find alternative venues for these people, ask James Mooney now at Leeds, he spent weeks on it.
Hull Tigers ? voted against it.
Die when you want ? Quote taken out of all context.
    Free football ? see above.
Earn your stripes? see above, a bad marketing idea by someone no longer at the club.
Fans have turned their backs on the club many many times over the years. Mainly, and you might find this is hard to believe but the drop in attendances always coincides with the team not winning games. You pays your money you make your choices.
Anything else you want to know ?
