Hull Fair cancelled, thank **** for that!
So it's not Turning Japanese?Think it was in the HDM, and they said it wasn't to become a Japanese.
I really don't think so...So it's not Turning Japanese?
I'm not sure why this is back in the news, they announced it was cancelled in May.

People come from far and wide to take money from the people of Hull, at Hull Fair.
It would be a big risk to let it go ahead.

I’m the same. I even like the fair, but my assumption is more money leaves the City than comes in overall (even though it will make a profit for the Council I’d think)Don't get me wrong, on the whole I'm on favour of having the fair, but are there any figures anywhere that show Hull Fair is a financial gain to the City? I've looked before, and all I could find were comments from local businesses saying it negatively impacted on their trade either directly, or indirectly as people had less money to spend afterwards.

No figures to back that up though. Just a reasonable guess
Must have been a tricky decision seeing as they started pre covid !The old Barracuda bar is opening next week, and will be called Tiffany's, the bloke who owns Tofts is running it. Spent half a million quid doing it up according to the HDM - pretty ballsy in the current climate.
