That all depends on how much foreign debt we have

 

My first thoughts were 1929 and the Weimar period of Germany.

Everyone knows if you print more money you get inflation and perhaps even hyperinflation!

 

BBC suspending all filming of their TV series. A silver lining. No more ****ing Eastenders.

 

This is the thing I was getting at with the loans Chief. In those circumstances who foots the bill for those loan defaults?

As the loans are government backed, then it will be the government? And who does that money go to... with interest? The banks?

 

Whereas ITV have said they're just banning kissing scenes on Corrie

 

They better not suspend Corrie.

 

It could bring the country to a halt.

Last week, a woman of 79 was admitted to his care for an elective, non-urgent procedure. She was then diagnosed with Covid-19, which, he says, “she almost certainly acquired on our wards”. She was put on a ventilator but died on Monday night.

“I’m sure she will go down as an elderly patient with underlying conditions, but she should have lived to 90,” he said. “Approximately 50 nurses dealt with her and many doctors. None has been tested. All are still at work.”

I think the government are planning to announce a package of help for renters very soon, maybe later today mate.

And talk to your bank if you are worried about paying your bills, banks have been pretty much ordered to be helpful

They are guaranteed loans so if they are defaulted the government/bank picks up the tab and they are ultimately paid off by some means, tax hikes, interest hikes.

If we give that money away, and it still gets defaulted, then there is also a large effect to the economy in that no one is paying it back.

I think the loans/grants/rate breaks is a good way forward in the first instance for what is hopefully a shorter period than first envisaged.

Personally, I'm looking at this half full and will continue to do so unless it's clear we're entering some ****ing armageddon or other.

The glass half empty brigade are doing my head in to be honest.

Just had a note to say that my daughter's school is closing as they haven't got enough staff to keep it open so we were only a day or two ahead of the game.

The NEU think schools should be closed and a plan drawn up for GCSEs and A-Levels. The head of the NEU is on Sky at the minute. He said the government are yet to make contact with them. Amazing.
