Wish I could be so optimistic but the 2 of them dont inspire much.
Wyke has been a bit of a sicknote tbh, and while he tries hard he doesnt really add much.
Grigg's lost his bottle I think.
There maybe a little hope for Grigg

We need to get shot of Leadboots and Mcgeouch (both shyte), and recall Ethan Robson and sign another CM to replace them both.
We also need another RB to become first choice and have McLaughlin as back up (Hopefully we wont need him), and a new striker aswell that can actually hit a barn door.
Hopefully we can get rid off Grigg and bring 2 more in but i cant see anybody wanting him.

Based on the numbers at first glance, it's all coming in as revenue we can use for FFP purposes. Of course, that means if its 10m, 6m extra in wages theoretically, but it's ludicrous to spend that much now.
The good news is that because the accumulated losses have been cleared, we can port over cash reserves into the next season and they count towards FFP in that year. So if we bump the wage bill by a total of £1m now, we can theoretically spend the same for a good few years off the back of the same investment, assuming that everything else remained the same and we ported an ever decreasing amount of profit each season to the next.

I've said somewhere else, one option we have if Donald is really serious about promotion and we've got funds but not the wiggle room on the wage bill is to pay up contracts and get rid, assuming nobody takes them off our hands in the window. We could low key cut away quite a bit of dead wood and replace with quality in that case.
If it's a tentative one in one out approach while we wait for bids then we'll probably end up going to the wire and not necessarily getting our first choices like when we signed Grigg.
I wouldn't worry about FFP too much. They have lots of wiggle room for a few seasons, theoretically.
Yeah I was just reading your post, that's good news. Still a good idea to keep it low and paying off a few contracts wouldn't be expensive but it's reassuring that we're no longer on a knife edge with the wages.
We definitely need a new Right Back. McLaughlin is not good enough, both defensively or going forward.

With Le Bock returning, I would move Hume up the park. Like Watmore, he's pacy, and as Saturday showed, his delivery into the box is generally good.

I'm the opposite mate. I thought the defence had improved this season (Peterborough game excepted). Not many clean sheets but many times only 1 per game let in. Its the forwards that concern me.
This bit, I would agree with mate.The defence as a whole seems to have tightened up since Parky's come in. Certainly Willis and Lynch are a big improvement on Baldwin and Flanagan. To me though, McLaughlin is clueless, prone to making a mistake and seems uncomfortable at overlapping. His delivery is not great either, which doesn't help our strikers. Any half decent left winger would have him on toast.
Hope we sign a few young, unknown talented lads that serve the dual purpose of firing us to promotion and sending the SMB into multi-meltdown. Be class that like.
Agree about McLaughlin he's a poor crosser and generally looks like a deer in the headlights when he goes past the halfway line. He's decent on the ball and competent enough to be backup but no more for me.
We could always try Hume at RB and De Bock at LB, I wouldn't suggest it but I've seen him have an excellent game there before.
I wouldn't suggest it either mate, but I know what you mean. Would prefer a new Right Back. To me, when a converted midfielder looks better at RB than your RB 'specialist', you're in trouble.We have good balance with Hume on the left. Although I'd try him further upfield and put De Bock in at Left Back.
