I doubt dell would throw heaps at something that wouldnt give a return..and fair enough.
It appears the situation at Marlins ( albeit not strictly the same consortium) is based on improving number of people through the gate, nurturing talent and a guaranteed almost debenture like arrangement re returns.
If the investment makes us a better run self sustaining club then that is fantastic

From what smug (and basically every report from any source) has said, he's made this very difficult and its come close to being off the table a number of times because of his demands. I'll be honest, I'm not 100% convinced that SD is the right man to manage the club from a football point of view, even with large amounts of cash backing him, and if he's made that a sticking point for the deal, no wonder it's ended up being more convoluted than necessary. He's done right by himself, first and foremost.

That said, happy to give the benefit of the doubt, and as long as the club is secure, all is well.
