****s sake mate, give it a rest. Today should be a great day and there is a match on

I'm watching it. Would you sit and let someone keep asking those questions and questioning your character? No, I doubt it. If he stops and accepts it then fine. I ain't going to stop quoting smug either? Stop trying to police discussions people can and can't have, it's a discussion board, if smug doesn't like having those posts up, I'm sure he'd either edit them or tell me personally.

Give it a rest giving me ****, it's owld fella you want to be directing this to.

I'm directing it to both of you, you seem very opinionated and quick to judge others.

You really need to chill out

Look pal, this is a really simple equation. Stop giving me ****, questioning me and saying I'm whatever your opinion is, and I will stop responding. Fair? You know if someone was sitting here quoting you and accusing you of wriggling, bluster and worse (check out some of the ****e I had this morning) you would want to defend yourself.

Mate, you really need to calm down. You have been quite vocal in your opinions on the situation and on others.

Even this morning you said I take things to much to heart, like you have an idea.

I suggested you not tag Smug in your discussions as he has had enough ****e without being called into other people's fights. I then suggested you let it go, but no you keep on.

Chill out mate, life's to short

Says he will be a passive shareholder. He can be as passive as he wants if he’s sticking a load of dosh in :emoticon-0137-clapp
So Dell is putting the most money in but he is going to be a passive, minority shareholder. Can anyone explain this for me?

Easy. He puts the money in and gets his trusted partners to make it work for him. He won’t lift a finger.
That explains the passive part, which is the bit I understood. But most money in yet minority shareholder, that just seems to be a massive non-sequitur.

Passive and minority aren't necessary related. You can be a passive investor who has a majority stake, so he could allow the other two to run it how they see fit and he's happy to just dip in and out at leisure. What I've found is that the smaller the holding, as you can imagine, the less active the investor.

The deal that is being mooted - and I guess we've learned to wait - is that they would loan us cash in the short term (most likely not all up front, but based on achievements) and have the option to acquire a majority stake at some point in the future, but apart from that we don't know what this all means.

I would keep an open mind, but I think I said yesterday that assuming they are investing, there should be no doubt that their intention is to at some point own a majority stake in the club, otherwise this is not worth their while.

If they invest as a group, the company (FPP) would own the stake, depends on the shareholding of that, but the likelihood I would say at the level they're talking is that they all have an equal share in that company. No need for MD to own more than his two rich friends.

I'm not sure but from what was said, is Michael Dell actually involved? He isn't a director of the company, I think the whole 'Dell money' thing is actually a bit of a misnomer because he's not even directly involved financially.

Remember that table that included Michael Dell's money and said we were richer than City? I take that with a pinch of salt, Platek, Fuhrman and Phelan are plenty rich enough for us.

Aye, but the Echo piece said Dell would be a minority shareholder. It might be facile but I'm trying to find real-world sense in an Echo story.

Probably wouldn't bother. Be great if he was, that's my take.
I just wish I could go to bed and set my alarm for Tuesday morning, knowing it would all be signed off and the details made public. This has just been a lot of tension, I don't know how long it's all going to take and only blind trust that it's going to be worth it in the end - a bit like your first ever ****!
