The more I think about it, the more I think it answers a lot of questions.

2 wingers give our full backs some support and if we play higher up, the opposition full backs will have to drop deeper which eases the pressure more

combining all of the above, we come up

quick balls into the channels for Watmore to collect
Opposition centre half having to follow / track over
leg it down the wing
quick cross into the box
Wyke or O Nein screaming in to get on the end of it
Goal
Fans go mental
Opposition sit further and further back as they as piss frightened of getting done for pace down the channels

Superb scenario.

Alternative, Watmore gets chopped first minute and out for 6 months. Turn to plan B.
Bollox, no Plan B.

1-1

(I am being intentionally pessimistic)

Plan B

Slight Change in formation, replace crocked Watmore with Gooch, 2 wingers hug the touchline and push forward
Ball into the channel
Gooch runs onto it
Centre Half comes across to cover
Cross in Box
Misses Wyke and O Nein as its overhit
McGeady picks up overhit cross
Jinks inside and smashes it into the top corner
Fans go Wild
Opposition sit back as Gooch and McGeady are pushed right up

Admittedly I am struggling for a plan C

Plan C.

Run around screaming and pulling oppos shorts down.

Oppo fall over.

Free run on goal for Grigg, defenders fell over their pants.

Grigg hits post.

To be honest, I prefer my Plan A or B mate :emoticon-0102-bigsm

And, as we know, it’s going to be a physical one.

They are a ****ing awful side to play against, we’ve got to be up for that side.

If he manages that it would be an improvement on recent weeks

My worry about Parkinson's preferred 442 tactics with wingers is our perennial issue of a 2 man midfield being exposed.
Over the last few years our attempts at 442 with wingers have always ended looking like 424 with little link up play between the lines
ending up with an exposed midfield that gets given the run around.
This system relies on the right players in the right roles (Reid's team was a great example of that)
and players working really hard to drop into the gaps that are inevitable left.

If you look at all the best teams yes they have the best players but then you look at the stats of the best players and they work their socks off.
This for me is the key I think we have the players but they just don't work hard enough with and without the ball
If Parkinson can address this issue we won't be far away.

As suggests, there’s been a lot of negativity and disappointment over the last few weeks, we’ll the break is over and it’s time to focus on what actually matters. The team.

Whats the thoughts on what the new gaffer has to do to get us moving? As always there will be several hundred lads travelling to Wycombe on Saturday and most will be a little deflated.

We have one part to play, to get behind and support the lads, we’ve done it well since Short went we don’t want to revert back to those days, 35th minute walk outs, booing, tension.

How should we set up? Who do we play.

I’m for restoring Grigg, with Watmore and Maguire wide, McG as a number 10 with O’Nien and Dobson behind providing both legs and cover.

Inclined to say give big Jon a couple more games in goal due to what he did last season.

We can get out of this league if we use what we have correctly.

Read Parky likes to play with a big man up front so think he'll opt for Charlie to start
