I saw an interesting suggestion, from a political commentator, this morning.
Not sure that it wouldn’t backfire, though, if the gamble failed.
The suggestion was that Labour support the deal, put forward by Buffoon, BUT only if it was then put to a public referendum with Remain and the rescinding of Article 50 as the only other option to leaving with the deal.
If Remain then won the vote, Labour could look their voters, that voted Leave, in the eye and say that they accepted the deal, but democracy defeated it.
If Leave won again, then we’re all fecked.
Either way the decision would come from the public.

My Masters dissertation written many years ago was titled, 'Prescription or Choice.' and purposely covered both clinical and political issues. The central issue examined was what referred patients to Psychiatric/Psychological services wanted. Unsurprisingly, broadly, first time referrals wanted prescription, whilst those who were re-referrals wanted more choice.

The best part about any second referendum would be that the Remain campaign wouldn’t be led by David Cameron. That, plus the fact that there are over 2 million new young voters registered since 2016, plus the fact that probably more Leave voters than Remainers have died, plus the fact that many Leavers have changed their minds, OUGHT to swing it.

BUT don’t underestimate the dirty tricks of Cummings and co., who will almost certainly pull off another Cambridge Analytica style stunt to influence people.

Please, all of you, try and get to London on Saturday and make yourself heard. This will possibly be the largest ever public demonstration held in this country:

If a 2nd referendum revealed another result to leave the EU then we would truly be damned.

Now Boris has announced his extra police, longer jail terms, tougher laws. Removal of international laws, rules making it easier to deport immigrants and foreigners and requirement for them to register with the government, Requirement to have ID.

I think next on the Fascism checklist would be tougher rules on protesting against the government. Expect to see that announced after the People's Vote march.....

Just watched the 3 part “Rise of the Nazis” on BBC iPlayer. The parallels are uncanny.

I said exactly the same after I watched it. The similarities to the likes of Rees-Himmler, and, behind the scenes, Cummings-Goebbels, are chilling.

Meanwhile, these look like good ideas being put forward in the negotiating tunnel:

Funnily, half my A level (in 1988...you know when they were difficult ;) ) was on the rise and fall of the 3rd Reich and I have always had a keen interest in it because of this.

Luckily for us I think you are correct. Hitler was an incredibly flawed but charismatic character. He seized the opportunity and let others around him help him achieve his goal. Hopefully, those surrounding Boris aren't as ambitious or clever enough to pull it off.

Jeremy Corbyn's reply to Buffoon's Queen's Speech spoke of everything that I fear of this Tory party government. Get them out. Get them gone. Never to return. I have a ****ing good memory when it matters.
