Short was determined to get away from the shocking abuse he was getting and if Donald hadn't stepped in he may well have just walked away, and this would have undoubtedly have meant administration or worse.
As we would do well to remember we were a basket case off and on the field

He deserved it imo, both me and Bri saw what his agenda was from day one, sad but true..

It's a Sunderland chat forum mate and there's loads going on tbh.

We have players away for internationals, have just sacked a manager, interviewing his replacement, are in the middle of a takeover and have an important game on Saturday.

People will post on all those subjects, not just come on to read info they can find on the media.

There will be contrary opinions, robust debate and all kinds of daft crack.

If it gets out of hand the Mods will step in but, if people aren't chatting, it's not really a chat forum.

It's a brilliant forum this mate, when we all came over from the old 606 (which I instigated cough cough) the place was thriving. Mick started this back in 2010 for the Scottish football fans, he was totally pissed off with the BBC moderation. Characters have come and gone, we got the old BBC observing otters join and contribute too and it was a much better place to be. A lot of us go back years, me, you and RAW to about 2006 and a few of us have met numerous times, like old mates we are. Great to see the demise of RTG and their posters come over here, we have nothing but respect for each other even in the crazed arguments that occur. Nice to see you back btw mate and your posse are more than welcome. <ok>

My 5th wedding anniversary coming up, doesn't feel like 2 mins since you and @MrRAWhite where there to enjoy it with us..

Peace all, I'm Joe btw, a forum slut that has a thing for people's garden sheds.. :)

Cheers Joe.

Your wedding was a highlight of that era and Mrs Smug and I still talk about it to this day.

I'd never met you but we travelled from the South of France, via the NE, for your big day.

The people from RTG aren't my posse though mate, all different people hoping to find a forum where being a Sunderland supporter isn't a source of ridicule.

I just hope the board finds a balance whereby people's are respected if not always agreed with.

you not getting mixed up with Mr Bean there are you?
Nah, it's simply that video I linked is a 2005 episode.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_Benn#Episode_listing

Mr Benn is a 70’s Children’s TV cartoon created by David Mckee. Only thirteen episodes were produced, each lasting 15 minutes which were first shown on the BBC in 1971 and was filmed by 'Zephyr Film Productions'.

The special is actually listed on the right on here that has that same text and mentions it also. But aye I know what you mean :emoticon-0100-smile

So popular has Mr Benn become in the history of Children's TV, that in 2004, Nickelodeon commissioned King Rollo films to make a special one off episode of Mr Benn. This episode was based on David McKee's latest Mr Benn Book

My episodes shock was there being only 12 of Fawlty Towers. I only got to watch them last year or so too!

Mr Benn was subtle, understated and totally cool.

So much better than the shouty, in yer face, alternatives.

It was great for kids but sublime for dad's watching ...

... here's a bloke who can have the most incredible adventures then return to his everyday life.

Wow, what's not to like!
