I’d take Holloway me, not the glamours choice but he’d come in and get an instant lift and has the character to be the manager at a big club.

The big black mark against Holloway is he’s got a really poor record over the last few years, and some of them clubs have had parallels to us.

Only difference is that Lampard and Gerard had no affiliation to the clubs they went too, SKP comes with an expectancy before we even see what his capabilities are.

The other point about SKP managing another club first is...if he did really well, I would think other clubs would come in for him, Just because he is a legend here, doesn't mean nothing when cold hard cash is shown. Not withstanding a few examples...Gerrard, Shearer, Le Tissier etc Footballer are motivated by one thing and one thing only...MONEY...To think anything else is naive at best.
Getting back on thread, what's the latest on the takeover? Was this big meeting in London yesterday as previously mentioned by @Smug in Boots and others or is it on Friday now? I know SD said we'd get an update by the weekend but can't see where/if the rumours shifted to Friday.
So, moving on and back to the takeover / investment.... Anything happening? Any new snippets or are all eyes on Friday?
