Dunno but in over 15 years i've never had a message saying that an email to me failed. I'm guessing that i've done something wrong sohave updated my email address to see what happens.

 

Not gonna happen mate. It will be completely untraceable. Only way is if the perpetrator owns up. And several have already.

 

I love how clear SuperKev’s love for the club still shines through.

I loved ‘if I don’t get it now then hopefully I get it some time in the future’.

I know we’d all love that, but he needs to manage somewhere else and do well first, for many of us he’s one of only a handful of genuine stars we have seen and it would be tragic if he came in now and that got tarnished through no real fault of his own due to bad timing.

I’d take Holloway me, not the glamours choice but he’d come in and get an instant lift and has the character to be the manager at a big club.

Understand that but if he failed it would be a nightmare. Not just for us but for him as well.

Imagine the extra legs we’d all get out of that, a proper club legend coming in and getting us moving forward, it would be such an extra positive.

I just think right now a steady hand is required, someone that’s done it. I’d be overjoyed if he came in as a number 2, or the coaching staff right now.

If he got it, **** my every drop of blood in my body would be behind him, don’t doubt that for a second.

 

I like him, but not as our gaffer. Loved his words about us and that’s how anyone we bring in needs to see the club.

The big black mark against Holloway is he’s got a really poor record over the last few years, and some of them clubs have had parallels to us.

Only difference is that Lampard and Gerard had no affiliation to the clubs they went too, SKP comes with an expectancy before we even see what his capabilities are.

The other point about SKP managing another club first is...if he did really well, I would think other clubs would come in for him, Just because he is a legend here, doesn't mean nothing when cold hard cash is shown. My first choice was Rowett, seems he doesn't want it...Now I would like SKP...Lets see

Agreed mate. All this it has to be an experienced man is a load of bollocks quite frankly. If he was appointed manager and brought in an experienced man alongside him then fine. At this moment in time I'd go for either him or Strendel.

 

Rewriting a history a bit to say he loved us.
When we got relegated he couldnt get out quick enough and was quite surly until he got his way. Understand it was in the interests of his career but the way he went about it....
There is too much unrealistic romanticism about ex players and managers.
The football world is venality personified.
People need to get shot of the notions about people 'getting us' and other associates frog5hit.
It's all about fame, money and adoration.
The rest is background noise at best.

Not withstanding a few examples...Gerrard, Shearer, Le Tissier etc Footballer are motivated by one thing and one thing only...MONEY...To think anything else is naive at best.

 

Getting back on thread, what's the latest on the takeover? Was this big meeting in London yesterday as previously mentioned by @Smug in Boots and others or is it on Friday now? I know SD said we'd get an update by the weekend but can't see where/if the rumours shifted to Friday.

 

So, moving on and back to the takeover / investment.... Anything happening? Any new snippets or are all eyes on Friday?
