Sorry mate the best one we had next to the beach was at Padstow and we had a cracking villa at Aberporth near the beach but on Devin we always go near Harbours because I do spot of fishing

Woolocombe Bay in North Devon is a cracking place. Huge sandy beach and we spent a few holidays down there when my kids were a tad younger.

I'm not that familiar with Devon mate. I know a few places, from surfing which tend to be good family destinations too. Places like Woolacombe and Croyde and Saunton.

Currently in a Sykes Cottage just outside Macroom about 12 miles west Cork and last week a fantastic one at the top of Lough Corrib in Co Galway. Back home at the weekend.

Westward ho! was where I spent a fair few summers as s kid in the early 80’s Loved the place and have always fancied going back but I don’t want to in case it’s turned into a ****hole and my childhood memories are ruined. Also I doubt the arcade in braddicks holiday park still has gyruss in which I was chos at but was never in any of the bandits up here....

Stayed in Westward Ho! 2 years ago for 4 days and it was a lovely little place. Just big enough to stay interesting and some lovely walks along the coast especially going out West.

Ah that’s good to hear, I haven’t been since around 1983 and most of the seaside towns I loved as a kid are pretty grim now.
I’ll pop back then, there were some canny little places close by like clovelly. Probably have to wait till the kids are old enough to do their own thing as I doubt walking around quaint little seaside towns will cut the mustard these days, they want sun and daft games round the pool.
