AHAHAHAHAH so the books are a load of rubbish other than the trustworthy shepherd … give it a rest mate … seriously … you've lost .. I fact id already won because I was there
Its Mackem logic mate and I'm doubting Chaos's true colours as a result. We may have another ACS turncoat here. There isn't even a dispute to be had because the man who sacked him actually explained it. Whats that saying about leading the horse to the water?
It wasn't a book by Shepherd - it was an interview. Robson was the one who trashed your theory in his book. So are you now saying Bobby was untrustworthy? I'm afraid you're wrong again. Once the man who did the sacking, and the man who got sacked tell you the facts, if you still can't accept it then you're basically so thick you're an amoeba. Or is it Ameobi I can never remember? Chalk this one down as a bad day at the office mate and concede.
Freddie was wise enough not to say the fans influenced him because he knows how pathetic they are … I know the fans turned on robson regardless and that is disgusting. like I say they handed him the knife !!!! the fans are always making things upto suit their agenda
Some fans did turn on Robson. It just isn't the reason he was sacked. Freddie didn't care he'd long left when he gave that interview.
You heard Freddie Shepherd say "I'm sacking Bobby Robson because the fans don't want him". I don't believe you.
No. A minority of fans booed him at the Wolves game. This followed into the following season after 4 games. I want to say it was the Norwich game?? Those are the facts and I know because I was in the stadium for all of it. Mate you are pissing in the wind. It still wont change why Shepherd sacked him. Lets simplify it further. Did Freddie Shepherd sack Bobby Robson? Yes Did Freddie Shepherd explain why at a later date? Yes Was the reason he thought the fans turned on Bobby Robson? No. I think we can all move on.
hahahah the answer is yes and yo know it . the fans as always turned on the manager as they always have done since.. you've calculated it as a minority but even that guess says it all … newcaste fans turned on bobby robson and low and behold shepherd then sacked him its funny how every other clubs fans remember too btw !!! it was in papers the lot
Yeah there were more still in support of him than not. Hence that would make the disgruntled a minority. And when we say turned on him, I mean they booed the team off on both the Wolves game the previous season and again after the Norwich game (may not have been Norwich but pretty sure it was). There was defo an element at the Norwich game chanting some anti manager songs wanting him sacked - but they were a minority of course. We then lost away, I can't remember to who and Shepherd got the bolt gun out. History isn't there for rewriting just to suit your mackem agenda.
ok so you hace these figures ? I don't either but I know it was happening and I know it was another example of how stupid our fans are.. like Ive indicated from the start those fans handed shepherd the knife... he wanted him out and took his opportunity . we then got souness almost won the eufa cup but did badly in the league and the ousted him.... now all they want is a cup run!!!!! they piss me off.
I see the problem here, when you say fans I think you're referring to the spotty ****ing nomarks that we see on skysports news on transfer deadline day waving dildos about. The kind that stood outside SJP when Rafa left holding banners up demanding ashley out whilst wearing the latest toon top....gotcha! They walk around pointing at the moon and their eyes light up at shiney things and ****. Pillars of ****ing society they are! Give me ****ing strength.
theres lots of them but at least you admit they exist !!! theyre starting up on almiron now btw when we have far worse players !!!! its a level of stupidity I will never understand
The season we finished 5th, we finished with a bit of a whimper, which was a disappointment compared to the previous 2 seasons, then we got 2 points from the first 4 games of the next season, which was not a great start, but was only after 4 games at the end of the day. There was some unrest, and a small amount of fans were calling for Robson's head (but every set of fans has some minority that does this, I remember some city fans wanting Guardiola out after his first season FFS), but it was a big shock when he was actually sacked. Shepherd swung the axe, not the fans. PS glad there's a real life fight going on in my thread, but can we just get back to saying Michael Owen's a **** who needs to keep badmouthing the "small" club who paid him a fortune just to promote his ****ty book?
You just aren't getting your head round this at all. It really doesn't matter if the fans turned on him or not. The man who sacked him told you why he did. The manager himself gave his reasons why he was sacked - and if you read between the lines he felt betrayed by the likes of Shearer. Although these aren't really relevant as he wasn't doing the sacking, he never believed it was because of the fans. He believed it was because Shepherd didn't think he was up to the task and others were working against him from within the dressing room. If you refuse to accept reality given to you by those in the know, you can't be helped
I'm not even sure why Chaos is peddling this mackem rubbish, I assume he's on the WUM. But I like him so I'm going to play.
I have to say the low point on this thread was when Chaos called Sir Bobby untrustworthy. I think that's out of order.
