Should be intersting to see Pakistan score 480 on friday and bowl Bangladesh out for 120 and qualify <laugh>

It turned out to be an easy win, credit to England winning both of the crunch games. It just goes to show how the wicket changed midway through England innings. It really is strange how the team batting first seems to have a big advantage.

Makes it essential to win the toss .. quite few games seem to have been decided at the toss as the pitches are slowing throughout the day. I agree re the net run rate though .. both India and Nz have played us and concentrated on protecting it rather then chase the target set .. not in the spirit of the game.

Agree, but what is the alternative? A head to head could be a poor team going through based on one game they played exceptionally well. At least net run rate is balance for a whole tournament. I think India did that on Sunday solely to stop Pakistan qualifying, who have also historically beaten them in the big games and would possibly pose more risk of beating them as they would be more up for it??

Pity about the weather in Manchester, Thursday at Edgbaston doesn't look too good either.
