Bowyer was at our game last night to see who he would be playing in the final.

Ooops.

Don’t care who it is or for the history. We are a better side if the injuries clear up and we should seal it.

Watching them at the end was a bit odd. I love to see scenes like that in a way, it’s what football is about, but for achieving a half way point for an underserved win on pens against a team you rinsed in the league?

They seemed a bit over the top. Our lot were nice and tranquillo last night.

Strikes me Charlton have one good one bad centre back, a really average midfield but some very decent attacking players.

It’s gonna be a tight one for sure but man for man we are better than them. Let’s ****ing have it.

Charlton haven't come close to beating us this season.

We are better than them mate.

Obviously I’d seen them v us twice, I’ve watched both kegs of their semi, they looked superb first half first leg but as soon as Donny pressured them they go flat.

They don’t like being attacked, we seen that first game of season and first half at their place when we allowed them back in, we should have had them dead and buried.

If we have one or 2 of the more creative players back, we should just go at them, if we do that we will win.

Donny deserves to win tonight for me, no question. A goalkeeper slipping, a slip not even an error really, has saved them.

I’m not suggesting it’s not a tight game, but it’s ours to lose, no doubt in my mind.

Of the 4 teams in the play-offs, Pompey were the weakest from a footballing aspect. Even regulars are upset with the "hoofball" tactics.

I feel both yourselves an Charlton are evenly matched. Try to right a wrong from way back when, could hinder you. Completing your life-cycle of being in the League 1 againgst the same opponents at the beginning, will favour you.

Yet you think Curtis, Lowe and Clarke are worth a combined £30m? I don’t think our first team is worth that so how do you figure that you were the weakest?

From an overall footballing aspect. I feel the other play-off contenders played a better passing game, kept possession better. Many comments from PFC supporters report on the long ball in the air up to the lone striker too often. Within that team you have highlighted the three best talents. To me they are worth 30m, the reality is Pompey might get a third of that if all three depart to clubs at a higher level. And we´ll continue shopping in the bargain basements for the 100k type player, paying mid table League 1 wages, as the club do not want to get caught again where expenditure exceeded income, or where wages took about 95% of all outgoings.

I've got me and the bairn sorted.

Has anybody heard from Bri? I've not seen him about here for a while and lost all the contacts in my phone so I can't drop him a message to see if he's alright...

no Mendonca for Charlton for this match, everything fell for him that day. Luton and Barnsley could not beat us this season so i reckon with Mcgeady and Watmore we will win.

That may be right, Monty, but your obsession with Ginger Dunc. isn't healthy :emoticon-0145-shake

He hasn't played for about 20 years, so the best that he could be is as a David Floorcloth type 'supersub' . . . . it's nice to have him back in the squad, but let's hope that we don't need him on Sunday :emoticon-0105-wink:
