Played 9 holes Fri and Sun (the same 9) and shot 44 and 43 respectively (my best thus far is 42), par for the 9 holes is 35 (front 3 and the last 6 on the back 9). I can see where I'm giving shots away I just can't seem to do anything to put it right at the moment other than just keep practising hoping it will eventually come together. Some lessons will definately help. Off the tee i'm inconsistent, when it's going well my putting lets me down, when it's bad my 2nd shots normally get me out of a spot more times than not thankfully but again the putting could be better. Gonna do some reading up and research on what difference it makes where your feet are in relation to the ball when teeing off. Never quite sure whether to have the ball in the middle of my stance or have my left foot closer to the ball than the right or vice versa (i'm right handed by the way) and what difference it all makes. Will have to head to the driving range to practice a few things on it as the golf course isn't the place to do that.....you'd be walking all over the place retrieving balls. Then you've got the issue of range balls being completely ****ing ****e in my opinion, they always seem softer to me and they're heavily used obviously and completely different to the balls you buy and play with so how much can you actually gauge/learn from practising with them? Personally I prefer being out on the course now and trying to better my score from the last time or my best score on each hole. Might ask the pro at the club to have a round with me for one of my rounds i need to put a card in for and see if he can give me some pointers

Anyone else who knows about this stuff on here is more than welcome to have a round with me (i'll cover the green fee obviously) and give me some tips

.
Was hoping to get out after work today but the outlaws are coming back from holiday today so the missus has decided to cook for them coming back so that's probably gonna scupper that so will probably have to be tomorrow FFS !
