"strong negotiators" you see that is once again where you fail to grasp anything. They have not been good, we were just weak.
As for 'little Island' comments we aren't doing too bad for the 5th largest economy in the World. Not bad for a little island that leads the way on many things.
"little island" you have shown your true colours... enemy within

When May comes back with her tail between her legs cos the EU won't budge then we will see the Tories rip themselves even further apart.

May is pandering to the extremist wing of the Tory party - those who would happily see us leave on 29th March with no deal, and **** the consequences - rather than seeking a compromise with Parliament as a whole. Parliament has given her a bit more time to go back to the EU, who have already told her that she'll be wasting her time. If and when she returns empty-handed, other outcomes must be sought, and Parliament - having already last night signalled its unwillingness to let No Deal happen - will seek again to take a hand. That's why it's not 'game over'. If you must insist in calling people the 'enemy within', I would suggest that those who are rubbing their hands together at the thought of a No Deal exit on 29th March are the true 'enemy'. Are you one of those, Ellers?

For the record, I haven't for some time thought that there was much likelihood of a further referendum, but I do think think that the Article 50 process will have to be extended, and that the likely final outcome will be us staying in a permanent Customs Union. Not the best Brexit outcome, but certainly not the worst. If it brought about a major split in the Tory party, that would be a significant added bonus, though.:emoticon-0148-yes:

Thing is , if this were Labour that were In government doing the same, I would be saying the same. Labour are weak opposition at the moment but the Tories are 2 or 3 parties within one.

Still hope we can reach a deal - May has to go to Brussels with a workable alternative to the backstop - and if this is no go, we have to be prepared to walk away. The Spelman/Dromey amendment is a nonsense in negotiating terms. It would take all pressure off Brussels - and there is pressure. If there is no deal, there would be huge redundancies in the Low Countries and Germany. We are French agriculture's biggest export market, so Macron will feel the ire of the French farmers. Ireland will be caused huge economic and trading problems.

WTO is not as good as a good deal, but it's much better than BRINO. We have to keep preparing for it, while negotiating right up to 29 March.

Yvette Cooper type amendments are entirely negative and are a concealed attempt by Remain MP's to stay in the EU. There's a lot of evidence coming through the media that the majority of the Leave public want a clean break if a good deal is not on the table.

Yes where are they all? We really should demonize him as quick as possible due to the Tories impending explosion. Anyone who thinks yesterday was about brexit is very naive indeed. I am starting to think that Corbyn is no way ruthless enough to be a polotician.

    Agree Goldie.
The public are beginning to finally realise how bad this EU Mafia are. I heard the same regarding many now want a clean break. Many in the city are now saying walk.
As you said a free trade deal would be the way forward but these Eu fanatics supported by the enemy within in this country will try anything.

Great seeing Dominic Raab get his swagger back today when being interviewed. Just said ”We get a deal or leave on March 29th on WTO” He just dismissed all the remoaner crap. Even Jezza has had to eat humble pie. :emoticon-0100-smile
Not gloating just happy to see those trecherous lot fail.

    No you aren’t Staines mate
Anyone who does your job has the soul of a saint
Inside you know that it will take a massive shift in U.K. culture post Brexit to upturn the nation
I know that because you are inside the NHS you must have the knowledge insight & frustration that it don’t just need money chucked st the NHS

With greedy big business only led by profit essential the U.K. retains the city and today as I have said Barclays announced what I knew in 2017 that they shifting towards Dublin ... I should know my company does everything thing for them

Watch the rest begin to give heavy hints in next few weeks ... I wasn’t lying and we may see a rat run collapse as I could see a long time ago ... it will only take 10 of the companies I know that we control to press the button and everyone will need to look again at project fear regardless what any blue sheep says

Yes, the best way to get a deal is to go hard for WTO, and the EU will offer compromises. It's how they do business. But it's for the May and her advisors to put forward a backstop alternative now, so the EU can be sure what we want when they do come back to the table seriously. Barclay, the present Brexit secretary, was asked this on Radio 4 this morning and couldn't be specific on the alternative. The UK must have this planned. There's a change in the negotiating team so perhaps that's hopeful

It's a tricky situation really. The EU can see right through yesterday's events and have just said so. Everyone can see this was about the Tory party and not brexit. No sane person wants a no deal so it will be interesting to see where this **** wit of a prime minister takes us now! What a farcical party.
