    5. Totally unproven Barnes

    What could possibly go wrong?
    Good job our midfielders like Redders, JWP and PEH seem to be scoring regularly

    I had to laugh at the so called expert journalist, Darrren Lewis from the Mirror yesterday talking about the shock transfer of Cedric

    1. Another example of Saints selling all their best players, they don't learn
    2. With such defensive issues, Cedric would be the last defender they can afford to loose
    3. His down turn in form was caused by playing alongside poor players
    4. Saints probably have done well holding onto such a good player this long

    Stick to reporting on the top six clubs Darren as you obviously know nothing about anyone south of Man United

    Ha, I see a lot of Darren on the London football circuit but even by his standards that’s quite some drivel. He doesn’t pay much attention to Saints, if that wasn’t already apparent.

    You make good points but I am interested just how "unproven" players become proven unless someone takes a leap of faith and tests them out. Just imagine if unproven past players like Channon, Le Tissier, Williams, Bale, Shearer etc never got their opportunity until they got towards their mid 20s?

    I've no problem in giving unproven players a chance, but just get worried when they are the only option. I think we have a good mix in the striker department, probably a strengthening point for the summer. Think right back worries me a bit not immensely.
