Breaking North Ferriby United F.C news-
We have had confirmation direct from the Evostik league headquarters that the owner's, and the owner who is not really the owner, proposed ground relocation to Dunswell and name change to East Hull have been formally rejected.
In a short statement to this station the league told us -
"The matter of the relocation, which is solely a decision for the Northern Premier League was considered at length at a meeting held on the 12th December and ultimately the request was refused.
As a stakeholder, the NPL had been asked by The Football Association for its views on the proposed name change. The LMC determined it could not support the application being considered by The FA.
This was advised to all parties in writing on 19th December 2018.
The decision of the LMC is now subject to appeal to The Football Association."
Our view is both these proposals are now almost certainly dead in water.
The F.A. council, as they did with the ill fated name change shenanigans at Hull City, will take their lead from the relevant officiating league body and stakeholders.
To this end the glaring question is, if the club owners knew about the rejection, why has no formal club announcement been made? What else is going on at the club?
