Totally agree, a CB need speed as much as an ability to head the ball. Vestergaard isn’t good at either

Despite being **** for us, we could flog Vestergaard back to the Bundesliga for £10m or so in Jan, while his stock there is adequate. If Ralph can't get anything out of him.

We have yet to pay £20m to Liverpool for Ings, and have had to forked out (6m?) for Hughes dissimal; but Ralph must have been promised some decent cash to spend in the upcoming window? He needs pace, which just haven't got, to implement his style.

What did concerned me a little, was that he mentioned we had good pace in the second half at Spurs, but he could have been referring to us moving the ball quicker (I hope).
 
I cant think of one saints player that I am particulary keen to retain in the transfer window
2 years of being terrible has taken its toll
i think give this manager complete control on all sales and purchases as he has got one hell of a job to do if he is going to keep saints up

I think you know that the manager will be listened to, but will never have control over sales and purchases.

I do understand why you'd say that. Even those that have been better than most, Redmond/Hojbjerg, have still been overall pretty average.

But that doesnt actually mean our entire team is crap. We do have some good players that, if in an improved team with a bit of form really would be excellent.
