In reference to Steve Davis question, Ralph said in press conference that they weren't looking at getting anyone out, but it was natural for a player to look for other opportunities. So sounds like some truth in Davis rumours, but being driven by Steve....only natural when he nears end of contract.

"Fulham are to compete with Cardiff City for the signing of Nantes' Argentine striker Emiliano Sala, 28"

The Argentine target-man we should have got from Ligue 1 last season. Obviously club's league position come Jan with effect things.

I would like to see us keep focusing on youth. I have a crazy belief RH can get the best out of anyone!

The advantage of selling Gabbi is the fee we would get compared with the other forwards and he is one of the top earners I believe

No reason to have Gabbi on the bench. Long offers legs. Austin offers poaching. Johnson, I presume, offers width (I understand he's a winger, so that would make sense).

I've always been a strong advocate of having a bench which offers a variety of options. A bench which can allow you to change a game. Not just the next best seven players outside of the XI you have picked.

Gabbi is better than Long and Austin. If any of them are to start for us, it generally should be Gabbi. But I struggle to see what he offers us from the bench.

Ely is another one who I struggle to see offering us much from the bench - albeit still very early days for him.

More than anything, we need to be looking for players with pace, as well as ability.
Some of our players look though they are running through treacle.

Let’s see how they look once they’re fit.

Yeah. I'm also interested to see Gabbiadini with this new and novel approach where we're actually willing to play behind the defensive line. I worry about his stamina a touch, but early crosses are his meat and drink.

Pace pace pace will be the RH way. Could be an exciting January. Bundesliga players will definitely want to play for him

No idea how attainable he would be now (we should've gone for him in the summer) but would love to see Leo Bittencourt at Saints. I also really like the look of Florian Neuhaus but think he would be more of a developmental player and we need first teamers who can contribute straight away.

As I've said before I can't see us getting any of the better players from Liepzig, will cost far too much and if they are available they will have better options.

I would take anyone from BMG. That side ripped us to shreds in preseason and are going strong in the League.

'Lawro' in his Saints Vs Arsenal v prediction summary was saying we need to spend around £60m to n Jan, and must have rather a lot from our sales sloshing about.:emoticon-0136-giggl

Anyone else think Gabbi might be one of the players involved in last week's 'mystery complaining players' scandal?

Four managers in a row now have all basically ignored him.

Too early to say that he's being ignored but it wouldn't surprise me, though that doesn't mean he won't get on board.
