Nothing changes does it?! Man U winning by a dodgy penalty. You know this will be the final score as well with nothing much happening in the second half
I used to enjoy watching United, particularly in Europe. I would happily support them and was pleased when they won the champions league. Nowadays it’s just so boring. It’s pretty effective but I can totally understand their fans frustration at having to watch this week in week out.Mourinho is just not a United manager is he. More like Don Revie's Leeds.
Only 5 teams got fewer penalties than Utd last season. You must log in or register to see media
*ahem*Only 5 teams got fewer penalties than Utd last season.
Only 5 the season before.
Only 4 the season before that.
Utd got the most penalties in 2012, but apart from that season nowhere near the most even in the days when we played most of the game in the opposition penalty area.
Myth debunked
Only the first 7 have been every present in the PL in that period so you can't make any comparison with the rest.*ahem*

In other words, in the past sixteen years only three teams have been given more penalties by Man Utd, who moved clear into fourth place earlier this evening - or, to put it another way, Man Utd are given penalties more consistently than the vast majority of Premier League teams
So, no, that bunk is very much intact - at least until the Leicester fans descend upon the site and call them "bitter" for noting that over a third of the penalties they have received all happened to be in the 2015/16 season...
You've been utterly unadventurous since Ferguson retired though, so the officials probably nodded off at times. And considering that for the first 11 of those seasons Utd played very attacking football with a lot of possession in the opposition box, the stats don't suggest preferential treatment. Thinking back to the days of the Alamo at Old Trafford, it was a travesty that refs allowed opposition defenders to get away with all the holding, blocking, body checking and other cynical fouls that routinely went on.
Actually I can, for example West Brom were a Premier League for all but four of the seasons in the specified period, yet they received less than half the number of penalties that Man Utd did. Similar can be said for Newcastle, West Scam and Stoke, all of whom were in the Premier League for the vast majority of that period, and none of them came close to being given as many penalties.Only the first 7 have been every present in the PL in that period so you can't make any comparison with the rest.
So 4th out of 7.

Last night Utd got a penalty for a clear hand ball.
There was a point recently where Newcastle had received more Premier League penalties than us.Actually I can, for example West Brom were a Premier League for all but four of the seasons in the specified period, yet they received less than half the number of penalties that Man Utd did. I think it was only in 2013/4 that we pulled ahead of them. There was a point recently where Newcastle had received more Premier League penalties than us.
I think it's still almost identical, despite them having spent multiple seasons outside of it.
Later than that, even:I think it was only in 2013/4 that we pulled ahead of them.
Funny how the number of penalties they were winning dramatically decreased once Alan Shearer and Michael Owen left the club, isn't it?
Are you sure that it wasn't 8,000 years since they conceded a goal? Even when it was a yard and a half over the line. You've been utterly unadventurous since Ferguson retired though, so the officials probably nodded off at times.
While he was in charge you went about 8,000 years without conceding a penalty at Old Trafford, too.
If they had had goal line technology in those days, forget Old Toilet, that goal would have been given at the City of Manchester Stadium. Are you sure that it wasn't 8,000 years since they conceded a goal? Even when it was a yard and a half over the line.
Watford 1-0 Brighton
