All EFL clubs were given the right to stream midweek games, as last long as they’re not on Sky, for the coming season, it was announced in September (though i’ve no idea how many are actually doing it).

The club deserve credit for doing it whatever everyone else is doing.

I still don't understand why you have to pay for radio commentary which is available for free in Hull and the surrounding area.

That is probably true but this more about the lack of access to it in the uk unlike you exiles.
I used to have a tigerplayer subscription to get the radio commentary. I only stopped that initially in protest of the allams family and then the Viking debacle.

Unfortunately i have just read another article about the Prem clamping down on illegal streaming.

It's a tricky problem to be sure. The PL (& EFL) need to protect the clubs attendance revenue, the culture of traditional atmosphere and need for teams having live bodies to support them . Nothing wrong with that.

With today's technology it should be a small (ish) step to set up a business plan to create subscription internet services that allow supporters living a certain distance away from a football ground to access live video/audio transmission. They could make it a relatively cheap service.
For example, I pay approx. $15 Can (8.33 quid) per month for cable TV channels that essentially broadcast all PL games live for the whole season. What's that: 10 games per week, approx 40 games per month...works out to be roughly 21 pence per match - if my calculations are correct.

More flexibility between football clubs, the PL, EFL and service providers to distribute TV & internet coverage revenue is not that far off I'm sure. If it's managed correctly fans would still attend games in person, and maybe pay a little more to get a replay of highlights or the full game if they can't attend for whatever reason (e.g. sickness or too far away to travel to the ground).

I'd like the opportunity to watch all of City's games on television. It wouldn't affect the attendance as I'd still go to all of the ones I usually go to, I'd just like to be able to see the ones I can't get to as well. I'd happily pay for that.

It does seem a bit **** that fans abroad can watch all games but if you are in the UK then sorry no you can't

I understand that they want people to actually go to games but then again they don't really encourage that with some of the decisions

I'm not sure it is anymore, it cost me £3.50 a month to add it to my BT package.

I'm not sure if they've started charging the people that previously had it for free though.

It's not much now but I can see it creeping up as Sky Sports has over the years.

Just noticed that on the club website, when you click on tigerTV it now takes you to their Youtube channel, seems with this new streaming service probably the full game available after the match will no longer be available?

The article was about the Prem but i am sure the EFL will do the same to protect their rights.

Pretty sure if you're paying for the service it'll be available live (if not carried by Sky, BT etc live) and also viewable at a later time by subscribers.
