Ignoring the misogynistic throw away, you have exactly illustrated my point. The dropped point against Sunderland was long before the cup game. We failed to win. I haven't checked the records, but would imagine Liverpool won their corresponding fixture. They probably didn't lose heavily at QPR, a result that followed hard on the heels of 2-0 win against 'Pool, or lamely at Everton, who had not at that time shown signs of becoming the force that they would become in the following season.

We lost the title because we didn't take the points in games where we should. My point is that the Cup game played no significant part in our failure to win the league,which was your assertion.

Finishing 17th is not making history, it won't be immortalised forever and after next season, people won't remember and it and frankly it won't matter.

It's stuff like this that really pisses me off and makes me hope and pray that we can upset the odds and win. Winning the FA Cup means very little to Chelsea players and fans and it is just a consolation prize to them, it will be history making for us.
