Let’s try and have a sensible debate about it.

Most of us were tbf mate, was only one who got their back up and then couldn't accept an apology.

If this is allowed then why not just re open the old one?

one of my posts from other thread:

I'd rather win the Cup as at the end of the day, the Premier League comes and goes for clubs like us anyway and I would much rather win a trophy while we're here. That'd be a better memory of this stint here than finishing sixth. We spent 27 years in the top flight last time and the grand total of **** all.

Surely winning a trophy is the pinnacle for a club like us?

The world is on it's head. A mass argument with no sign of Fats....and now he's trying to be a peacemaker. <yikes>

Or is this a clever ruse to restart a row he missed. <laugh>

Sotonsaint, please show a little maturity and don’t post on this thread. It is clear you don’t want to discuss this, so let those who do, get on with it.

It’s been a long time since I had a row... ignoring the one I had in the mirror this morning.

For many years I’d have said the league. After Wembley last year, I’ll take winning the cup!

Sorry mate cant agree with you. While I would agree we have always toyed with relegation from the top league. However we did manage to stay in the top league for 27 years. We were in the second tear when we won the cup our one year of glory Yes a couple of years later we joined the big league but winning the cup itself didn't bring in the coffers where as staying in the top flight does.

Is there any way to adjust the poll as I clicked the wrong option and I can't change.

Do you support the money side of the club or the football side?

Yeah we had 27 years but we didn't win anything?

Went with stay up. Now, if it was "win the FA Cup, get relegated and be back in the PL within 2 years" I'd take that. Recent years have demonstrated that there is no such thing as too big for the Championship (or even too big to avoid being relegated from the Championship), and I'm not convinced that our leadership can dig us out before things get truly challenging.

FA Cup. But I don't think that situation will happen as I believe we will stay up regardless of what we do in the cup.

In truth both I guess......There is no reason why we cannot ply for the top of this league.........but to do that you have to have the money (and the ambition) to buy better quality players. The glory of a cup win will not do that for us.
