Strange. Last season,Chelsea had all the luck against us in the FA cup semi final...and ran out of luck against Arsenal.
This season,Juventus had all the luck against us...and it's run out against Real.

I do believe Real are real glad they weren't playing us!

Not bad.

Good thing it wasn't against Liverpool or we'd have the legions of keyboard warriors out claiming it was offside.

I'm glad Juve got battered. Still have a bitter taste in my mouth from the way they picked our pockets with 4 goals in a total of 15 minutes of decent football. Good riddance.

I do think that we learnt from that game though. When the Chavs had to have a go at us towards the end on Sunday, we broke the game up with a few niggly fouls just like Juve did to us, we might have actually won more than we lost in that game.

Or Lamela's back? He really does bring something that we lack otherwise...a competitive/nasty streak a mile wide. I get the impression that he'd pay us to be allowed to kick Fabregas and The Wheelchair. Love the bloke.

On the grounds that they will still likely lose to Los Ladrones or Barca in a final, I am just hoping that Abu Dhabi Athletic absolutely slaughter the Mousers tonight at Klanfield!

The tsunami of tears and excuses that would erupt on the back of a 4 or 5 goal mullering would be a joy to behold...... <cheers>

Whoa, Roma turned over Barca in the CL.

Will Barca try and sign a marquee player in the
summer to placate their more fickle fan base,
if Madrid win the CL again ??

Whoa, antics at Madrid tonight. :)

So just to tie things up, which of Madrid/Juventus
"bottled it" tonight, and when ...

Translation: "A human being can't just 'knock out' a team after such a game with such a dubious scene: Instead of a heart he probably has a trash can. If you don't have the personality you should be in the stands with your wife eating fries, not reffing this game"

I won’t hold my breath waiting for UEFA to take action against Buffon for these comments..... <laugh>

But as far as the incident is concerned, I was watching with a few mates and we all agreed that it was a penalty (even if a bit soft) and Buffons behaviour towards Oliver was not acceptable.

Yes, he was wound up by the decision and may have genuinely thought there wasn’t a foul, but his reaction was well OTT bordering on a Public Order offence.
I’m no fan of Oliver, but no official should have to put up with that. What is also disgusting is the media response. We are not talking about a blatantly wrong decision with reasonable doubts cast about the refs competence or honesty - this was a totally understandable (and likely correct) decision.

Would have loved to see Madrid head out, but Juventus should be looking at themselves for not seeing the game out.
