Dembele is actually Congolese, as is Vincent Kompany. Both qualify to play for Belgium through their birth line.

Perhaps someone should advise Talksh!te that the Belgian Congo, as it was known until 1961, was never a french colony. However, they do speak french. So does Tony Blair, so based on their logic, why didn't he stand in the french presidential election?

Afternoon fellas.

You're gonna love this one.

It is being reported this morning that Liverpool are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama this summer. The Daily Mail report that he is being considered as a potential replacement for Emre Can, who looks increasingly likely to be leaving the club on a free transfer in the summer.

The Kenyan has been in and out of the Tottenham team this season and that has led to Liverpool considering an approach for the player.

For Tottenham, it is a deal they might want to consider, but only if they can convince Liverpool to send Danny Ings the other way in exchange.

He is undoubtedly a Poch player. A tireless worker who creates space for his team-mates as well as himself he could be a brilliant replacement for Kane

Losing the Kenyan would be a blow to Tottenham, but if it means Ings coming in the opposite direction, it could be a transfer masterstroke.

You're late.....have you got a note?

There are a few [very few] decent programmes. On Sunday, I was chefing before and during the match and had the radio on. As part of the commentary team they had Mark Saggers, who is a mid-table talkSPORT twat. Saggers says something like....

"Victor Wanyama is starting today. He's been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent days, so he'll be pretty nervous and will be keen to have a good game...."

Clearly, Saggers thinks it's still 1977 and we're about to be relegated. <laugh>

As I said the other couple of times this story's popped up, how is it the hacks remembered that Naby Keita was headed to Anfield so they could pen various clickbaity articles suggesting the transfer could be moved forward to January - only to forget he even exists as soon as the transfer window closes?

He's normally a ****ing pussy on the pitch.

Is Keita nasty? I've seen he's been sent off for losing it a bit but does he get stuck in?

As a non-Liverpool expert it seems that you lack anyone with a 'side' to them, apart from the forwards. Your midfield and defenders are all pussies. We have Wanyama [for now <laugh>], Dembele [face gouger and just kicked Sergio Ramos into the air], Dier [school bully], Dele [just naaasty], Mr Angry [Lamela] and Mr Wind-Up, Jan Vertonghen.

Lovren likes to get stuck in, unfortunately when he decides to nail someone he usually misses.

Can and Milner like a tackle though and VVD is pretty physical.

He's Sturridge Mk II. West Brom might be interested but only if they're relegated.

If you're selling Lallana, we could talk terms. He could toughen up our Academy kids.

Think you mean if they loan LOLlana to our
academy, then our kids will toughen him up
enough to play in MF for a club with ambitions
of finishing above Spurs in the PL.

Well, they’ve had no luck spreading unfounded rumours about Harry, Dele, Eriksen, Hugo, Verts and Toby. Even our DoF is still in their crosshairs..... so the Mirror is now trying an alternative target: Big Dave. <doh>

Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez, 21, says he is not interested in a move to Real Madrid this summer. The Colombian joined Spurs from Ajax in August. (Mirror)

Stories like this about a Spurs employee, usually employ the word 'insists', so as to infer that the subject is speaking against a weight of evidence to the contrary.

If it's a United or Citeh player, the line is...

"Pogba says everything's fine with Mourinho...."; or

"Yaya says he and Pep are on good terms".

For Spurs, it's....

"As rumours of a move to Hartlepool persist, Eriksen insists he is happy at Spurs."

Anyone at Spurs is always insisting. Pathetic really but they wouldn't do it, if it didn't fool the sheep.

I insist that the Mirror are a bunch of ****s! And they’re far from alone! <laugh>
