The Torygraph's reporting that, as Toby looks set to miss the Juve match, that obviously means his contract talks have broken down.

Funny how several of us predicted this would happen after that "clever" dick hack didn't think it was worth talking about the match we just won and instead asking about players that weren't on the pitch for it...
Surprise, surprise!
BBC make 'Spurs unrest' stories there top lines today... <doh>
As if the prospect of losing Nando would be any cause of concern <laugh>

I won't be travelling to Turin but I'm not going to stop supporting Spurs. Furthermore, I miss Nairobi, anyone would, but it doesn't mean that I'm going back there anytime soon.

Because we appear have made a lot of people really, really upset by refusing to roll over and die in recent weeks, Metro have decided to break out the big guns: by posting an article saying that Dembele could leave the club before the second leg due to Beijing Sinobo Guoan making an offer for him.

Wait, did I say "big guns"? I meant make themselves look silly.

The Mail is stating that Arsenal have plans in place to replace Wenger should he leave in the Summer, in order to avoid the confusion caused last Summer.

That would be the confusion caused by the club in refusing to nail the ****er down by either sacking him or announcing his new contract deal, yeah?

Anyway, where’s the confusion? Wenger signed a two year deal, which means he has another season after this one. The ****er won’t be going anywhere.

Spanish media continues to run with the story that Real will be making an offer for Kane in the Summer.

No mention of the fact that Levy has said he won’t even answer the phone, of course.

Rent-a-gob Roy Keane has dusted off the old adage that a team can't be considered good until it wins something.

Yeah, that 1974 Dutch team were ****, weren't they?
How's the managerial career going, Roy? Over already? Surely not.
Should be winning trophies, shouldn't you?

Tom Comatose going hard on the Narrative (TM)
yesterday in the ES ...

1. Apparently Toby has believed he is ready to play for
quite some time, and feels he is being omitted from the
"big" games. Add that to the alleged wage impasse and
you get 2 + 2 = Walker mk II.

2. And the THST will seek an "update" on new WHL
at the next meeting (haven't they been doing that
at EVERY meeting they have with the club since a
new stadium was mooted) ??

Been trying to find an English subtitled vid of the
Allegri post-match press stuff.

Allegedly some hack suggested that as Spurs were
PL 5th, Juventus should have demolished us easily.
And Allegri went wibble big-time about how Spurs
are a far better team than the PL placing suggests.

on the BBC gossip pages...

us having a decent team really upsets the hacks <laugh>

As I said the other day, don't look at Spurs results.
Look at the sum of the hack "articles" on :

1. key players + manager being wanted by other clubs

2. new WHL cost increases, completion delays,
naming rights secured.

My hypothesis is that the more of the above there are
at any one time, the better Spurs must be doing on-pitch.
So far the empirical data is supporting me. :)

Every clould has a silver lining, when we do win something they might just follow each other off a cliff like a herd of lemmings.

<applause> to Center Parcs for ceasing to advertise with the Daily Mail following Littlejohn's most recent homophobic rant. Do Private Eye still publish an annual count of his use of words such as "homosexual", "lesbian", etc.?

Given his rabid homophobia, I can't help but wonder "doth the lady protest too much?"

Yeah, I know.

I'm pro-tolerance and understanding and against bigotry and hatred of any description, always have been. Lots of punks are really reconstructed hippies.

One of my brothers is gay, as is one of my daughters, so homophobia is particularly detestable to me, as you would expect.
It is incredible that with the (generally justified / sometimes not) social outcry against all types of sexual harassment, that puerile commentators are still permitted to have a voice to spout their homophobic hatred.
