Get Involved #bbcfootball Cheech: In my next life I want to be a football journalist as you can make up any story, have it printed and never back it up with any proof or repercussions when it does not come true. < FACT >
And the award for the most pointless (yet incredibly desperate) attempt to deflect the Carillion mess onto Labour goes to... Oh no, she's handing out an Apprentice of the year award! She obviously has her hand in the till! Give me and everyone else with an IQ in triple digits a ****ing break, Guido.
And as was pointed out in a later Tweet, even if this wasn’t just for only giving out an award to an apprentice, not an endorsement of the Group, it was also 3 years ago before the company issued any profits warnings. The government are desperate to divert the focus away from their own mal-administration. For example, highlighting that many Cariilion contracts were given by Labour. Yep - that’s right, at least 7 or 8 years ago when the company was solvent. Trouble is, the general Political rule now on both sides of the Atlantic is that if you shout lies loud enough and often enough then the general population are too thick to understand the difference or are too disinterested to care.
Metro are reporting (via Mundo Deportivo, which in turn is via Sports Witness) that Moronho has contacted Los Ladrones and recommended they hire Poch as their next manager Given how keen Los Ladrones were to get the Portuguese Albert Steptoe out of the door, the likelihood of anyone at the club listening to anything he says is about the same as Lionel Messi arriving to his first day of training at Tranmere Rovers tomorrow on the back of his stegosaurus.
Murdoch's Hate Comic running a story on Saido Berahino being pictured with a prostitute Slight problem: that's not Berahino in the photos...

"Arsenal have hijacked Tottenham’s bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, according to a reliable journalist. Romain Collet-Gaudin, who works for French broadcaster Canal-Plus, claims that Arsene Wenger’s team are in talks with PSG about what would be a stunning late swoop for the Brazil international." Ok. "But Collet-Gaudin explained that Arsenal are a “clear second” behind Tottenham, who are in pole position to seal the signing of Moura by next Wednesday." So they haven't in fact "hijacked" anything (as of reporting) . God forbid that these muppets earn anything more from clickbait revenue than what is needed to live "hand to mouth" .
It does say a lot that The Sun, the Mail and all manner of blogs are making so much out of Malcom's...sorry, Tottenham Target Malcom's dive (yes, he appears to have changed his name by deed poll...) yet there's countless displays of blatant cheating this weekend they've clearly ignored - such as Patrick Cutrone's "header" against Lazio
Ooh yeah !!! The Spurs press guy has bitch-smacked some hack called "Jeremy" for repeatedly trying to go on about the sh*te about Pochettino and Real Madrid. Told him the question had been asked and answered last week, and yet the plank-ton kept going. Pochettino quite amused by it all, but Tom Comatose had to go with : https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...pped-over-real-madrid-job-links-a3753481.html
Funny how the Irish Independent ignored Comatose's story and focused on the hacks being told to do one https://www.independent.ie/videos/s...-manager-hits-out-at-journalist-36547670.html
Hack muppetry increases exponentially as we approach the transfer deadline. Tomorrow will witness many a debacle.
I must have left the radio on TalkSPORT on Sunday morning. I switched it on for about 5 seconds expecting to hear music only to get Durham say.... "Why don't Spurs put a £60m bid for Mahrez? Don't tell me they haven't got the money." ...before I could switch it off again. Why on earth do people listen to that ****? It's like reading The Star for informed political debate whilst buying The Observer for the nipple count.
The exchange on Alderweireld was slightly weird. Asked if he was available he said no but when asked if it was fitness he wouldn't answer. Sure it got lost in translation (literally) but slightly strange.
I think that it might be because he was annoyed at the journalist, having gone over it again. He said earlier in the presser that he wasn't fit, then got asked again. Did come across rather strangely though, didn't it? Hope it's nothing else.
In the preview of tonight's match this evening's Standard it took Tom Comatose all of a paragraph to compare Sanchez's wages to Kane's, thus allowing the preview to spiral into the usual twattery about "ambition" etc
