Likely to be a busy time on the manager merry-go-round ahead of the transfer window. There's a few foreign managers not cut it. Seems to be vogue for foreign owners to pick them though.
Not surprised Taff, if I was a betting man I would have bet on Hull sacking their manager who ever he was.
We've played against five "continental" managers so far, beaten three and drawn against the other two. With Slutsky now gone and unless Hull bring in another "import" quickly, there's only one non-UK manager left for us to face - and that's Jaap Stam next Monday. I'd take Stam to try to play his own passing game rather than worry about us - I hope Warnock does the same.
So it'll be Adkins in charge of Hull week Saturday then - and it's on the box for all to see. Always rated Adkins. Good choice for them - let's hope he hasn't got the time to turn them around.
The 'dead cat bounce' worked for brum. Dont think colin will let it happen again. Reading looks the toughest of the games before the end of the year but I assume nothing. 8 points would be acceptable with 10 realistic. I'm sure the team will be gearing up for all 12 though. Heart says 12 head says 8.
I think you might have missed we've also got PNE at home before the New year so that makes 5 games and a possible 15 points. Hate predicting how many we'll get from those but a dozen would be fantastic and bound to keep us top 2. Nice to see 3rd and 4th Wurzels and Blades squaring up on Friday - someone is going to drop points there - maybe both of them?
I did. I stopped counting at Fulham. Another time for the squad to step up not just the team. The top of the table is likely to become a lot clearer by the end of the month.
Heard on tv that Zahore won’t play this year so it’s a big chance for Bogle, Ward & even Fred to shine. Healey back soon as well plus Kadeem
I agree - Bogle looks the real deal when he's been given the chance. He's a lot quicker and trickier than I first thought. Shame he got sent off for that ridiculous lunge against the Wurzels. If he'd played through that 3 game ban he might have established himself to the point that Ken would be benched in the short term.
I can think of worse problems to have. Imagine what would go through the opposition's mind if bogle, NML and Bryson went off to be replaced by ken, Kadeem and Tomlin.
Recall the days of just 1 sub. Not much use if a defender was on the bench if the striker got injured. Unless Phil Dwyer was playing as he went up top, good enough to start as a striker for Wales & nut one past Shilton v England in 1978.
A defender on the bench if you were away and a striker if at home. Always interesting if a keeper went off. A brave outfielder would don the gloves. Didn't Dwyer start up front in Tehran back in the day? No such problem these days. Too many subs if you ask me. Big teams hover up players to be in the squad, many who will never even warm the bench. One of the problems with the depth we've got now is that youngsters don't get a sniff. We could do with a youngster or two on the bench for experience with the odd 5 mins here or there if appropriate.
Another 10 man side for most of the second half you scraped passed undeservedly. Another 2-1 lucky result with a last ditch goal from Flint to save you again. The ball had splinters in it - Fielding should haave checked his goalposts for impact damage.
Was hoping it would end in a draw so they both dropped points........ Just looked at the table with the last 5 results. Blades have dropped off a cliff.
.......and me - and it very nearly was. If I still had a cat I'd have kicked it when Flint got that winner. Nothing personal against the Wurzels but each club potentially dropping 2 points would have been the ideal.
