Well Pulis has been sacked... so they are welcome to go for him now! But honestly... really don't understand why they're not going for Dyche! Think he would do very well there. Even Howe at Bournemouth now needs that step up to a bigger team
Either Dyche or stick with David Unsworth. He's an Everton man through and through, and Chris Wilder at Sheff. Utd is proving that this is sometimes the best solution.
I think it was always on the cards that Pulis would go, made even worse when the owner flew in for the first time in six weeks. There was a distinct feeling around the Hawthorns when we played them that his style was not attractive, even if he had kept them safe from relegation. Maybe some now think that football should be entertaining as well as gathering of points. Fans add to the balance sheet, even if they are only a decreasing part of how to make money from owning a club.
The unlikely but best option would be for Gino to grovel to Dyche to return, Sean still live locally in kettering. I know it won't happen but ....
It was near enough for me to go to every home game when I lived near there for a couple of years. He currently spends half the week in Burnley and the other half at home, not ideal.
Dyche has said he doesn't want to work as a coach with others dealing with transfers. With that viewpoint he is limiting any options he could have to move on to a bigger club.
http://www.thesackrace.com/news/20th-november-2017/louis-van-gaal-linked-with-shock-move-to-everton With any luck, this has legs... Edit: Have just noticed that it shows the latest odds for the WBA job - Silva and Mazzarri both 33/1
In his Team of the Week column on the BBC Interweb, Garth Crooks says Silva MUST go to Everton. And we should replace him with Alan Pardew. Right Garth. Riiiight.
Have you seen this on Garth Crooks' team of the week? Really? Alan Pardew? Watford are enjoying their best start to a Premier League season under Marco Silva and that has created tremendous interest in the manager's ability to take ordinary teams and make them considerably better. I said only a few weeks ago, in this very column, that Everton should move very quickly to secure the services of this exciting manager and, to their credit, they have. If Silva goes to Everton - and I think he must - Watford can do much worse than replace him with Alan Pardew, who has a lot to offer.
I work in Corby next to Kettering and am making it down for next week’s Utd midweek game leaving after work so it’s not too far...
I think the possible deal is finally dead?: http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...o_doubts_over_my_commitment__says_head_coach/ Silva for the first time in recent days talking about his commitment
That is just taken from one of his post match interviews; the ambiguities were before and after this bit. Nevertheless, I believe he will stay.
At least he didn't use the work 'integrity'.... The longer this goes on the more confident I am he will stay. He knows what Everton would offer if he goes, so think he would have pushed for it by now. The club have stated their position so don't need to keep repeating it. It's the hacks keep saying how he must go which is annoying The club have played a blinder on this so far...
Whilst Everton are probably still interested I do believe if Silva really did want to go he would have offered to resign by now. Chat about should Silva go here in from 35 minutes or so in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09gjtpc/motd2-extra-19112017 The general view seems to be that he should go before being pushed whilst his stock is high.
