what about Ancelotti ( mind we've mare chance of garn to Hylton Castle fish shop and ending up with Pattie lotti.Then there is always Klopp (am talking about his brother Klippity).
Seriously how about Dickman,at least the youngsters will get a look in.Grayson appeared to overlook the youngsters time after time,( ie Gooch,Honeyman,Asoro)
instead favouring the likes of Gibson and Rodwell.

I read a bit on Sky where they seemed to be backing him for the job the other day and a lot of it made a lot of sense, big character, love for the club, someone players might take to.
The concern, like you say is a complete lack of experience and of any sort of sign of being a good gaffer, hit a wall at Rangers with a budget about 30 times more than anyone they were competing with at the time.
Love of the club angle requires the fans to have a love for the person, think that matters if you're going for an affection appointment and I don't think our fan base could give two ****s about him or Phil Brown. If it ain't getting the fans straight onside it's hard to see that kind of appointment working. Only Reidy, Philips and Keano fit that bill. If it's not one of them I'd stay well clear of the 'club ties' appointment personally. Would be open to those three the way it's shaping up.
odds list gets worse every days as the hungry young employed managers odds slip. Not many I'm keen on near the top.

One of these 2 younger lads from Wigan and Shrewsbury could be brilliant, or the ****ers like Kone and JOS could destroy them, I don’t think it’s worth the punt.
I still say I’d go for Keane, or as you say Reid with a younger head beside him. If that was SKP the fans would eat a real boost, and we know for sure Reidy won’t stand for being ****ed about, he binned Johnston who was far more inportant at the time than any of these hapless ****ers (not all of them, the ones we all know).
I still think 3 players and we are a very good side at this level, but we need 10 points on the board by January 1st to attract the right quality in the window.
Agreed. Don't think Keane would come until Short left though and I think he'd need pennies, maybe a bit early for a return for him. I hate the idea of going back to the past usually but looking at the realistic choices, I think I'd blow my nuts at Reid & Philips, wouldn't have gone for it in the prem, but in this league, with Reid's no **** attitude and Kevs, knowledge of the league I'd be well on board.
Mind you fella, Reid is at Wigan coaching at the moment, He'd give Cook the protection from the ****ers. Cook with Reid as number 2?

Players attitude is killing this club.... we NEED a disciplinarian of the Reid/Keane mouldy coupled with a younger manager with fresh ideas. Pretty much a better version of the Wilkinson/Cotterill debacle !!!
It wouldn't be my ideal choice..... but I think having Reid back would be hugely beneficial considering our current situation
I'm not against the guy particularly by the way. I just don't think he's the man for the job.
He just doesn't come across as the guy to take the bull by the horns at a time when that's exactly what we need

Cook took Portsmouth up and that was a tough job and Wigan look very strong, he’s certainly shaping a reputation isn’t he.
Baz mentioned Michael O’Neil the other day, if they lose the play off surely he has to be considered.
He has done a nothing short of magnificent job of making a fantastic team out of a bunch of mainly average or less players.

For the exact reason I said, I think we need someone to unite the club from top to bottom, Pearson has a knack of being a bit of a nutter. Remember the ‘are you an ostrich’ comment and decking an opposition player on the touch line. That’s a divisive character IMO, same as Karanka who kept walking out on Boro when he found it tough.
Not saying he’s a bad manager, I think he did the ground work really at Leicester, but I think our problems run much, much deeper than just on the pitch. The disengage from the fans is huge.
Add to that Leicester we’re heavily backed by new owners. We haven’t that to offer.
