Improved offer made for Murphy of £10milliion + add-ons according to Lee Ryder. Apparently Rafa has made it clear he wants this transfer completed before the weekend is over. Charnley is probably outraged at being asked to work on a Saturday afternoon and a Sunday.

Charnley will be over the moon. He is one of the few Ashley employees not on a zero hours contract so gets time and a half on Saturday and double time Sunday. I expect him to increase his offers by 5quid a time to drag this out to midnight Sunday.

He'll sign just like there will be 2 more.... Let's just chill. :emoticon-0157-sun:
Let's face it this makes perfect sense, unless we sell some of what is a pretty bloated squad (like we're really guna shift ****e like Riviere and Saivet) we're stuck going round making various enquiries trying to get the most for our money.

Old Charnley may still have half an hour, but I'd put my left nut on him not getting this one over the line in time.

If ever.

Dunno why because I've hardly seen the lad play but I've got a good feeling about this one. Young, English, good Championship stats and toon fan. What's not to like?

Cue fans on his back as soon as he looks anything worse than Ginola.

Ginola at least. I need a Fabrice Pancrate or I'm leaving.

Looked decent in the summer and for Norwich. Plenty to learn but a good move.

I would say I think both him and Ojo of Liverpool look a bit headless chicken at times - they aren't what I would call natural footballers. They both appear very direct and pacey.
