Yeah but I thought the reds are supposed to redistribute their wealth? Everyones equal and all that! All that Money Blair made could buy a new hospital? And so on... #hypocrisy

There's no 'shame' in voting for whoever you want.

 

I don't think anyone - himself included - would ever describe Blair as a red. He even rebranded the party to show how much he distanced himself.

 

I think you're focusing too much on party point scoring. It's what the media have been doing throughout the campaign and it's a distraction from the real issues.

 

It's time some serious thought was given as to how Government and Parliament can be best adapted to the digital/media age.

Shared Cabinet responsibility is also outdated. There has to be a system that allows politicians to openly question decisions that
their colleagues have made. Then you might get some genuine interviews where questions can be honestly answered instead of
having to repeat the Cabinet position. Presently, all this does is alienate the public.

Shared cabinet responsibility was OK years ago when ministers might give an odd interview every now and then to a newspaper but
politicians are now seen almost everyday, if not on TV, then certainly on social media. Everything they've said is recorded and often used against
them. Ordinary people can change their minds - why can't a politician ?

TV changed the way politics was viewed from the 1960's onwards but the age of the internet, facebook, twitter etc is having an even greater effect.

 

No distraction here! Most of his party aren't even behind him and the ones that are are dubious! Is Abbot still poorly? They're a mish mash of lefties that pluck stupid figures out of the air and then can't back them up when questioned! And you want them to run our country? Couldn't run a bath!

The overall cost is that amount, who's paying all of the bill is irrelevant

Its also a postcode lottery in terms of the overall cost, that can cost the average family up to 15% of their net income.

If you think it's a better solution than the NHS go and educate yourself by speaking to some US citizens about the issue.

 

If I understand Charon correctly you can do precisely that. Nationalise the profitable industries like gas and electric, means test any compensation paid, employ more British workers than are "needed", pay them a decent wage and use the profits to help fund the NHS. The wealthy will be worse off whilst the workers will be better off. Problem solved.

 

Yeah I'd much prefer a woman who can't public speak without an autocue it appears, together with donkeys like Boris, Davis and that slimeball Gove.

 

The MPs are not the Party.

 

Much of the party weren't behind him when they thought he would be a polling disaster and they couldn't win. They've gone strangely quiet now. If the Conservatives blow a 20 point lead then most of the party, vociferously, won't be behind her.

People talk like this is complicated...

 

The Labour Party isn't just the MPs though, its all the members and they support him as was seen in the election.

 

The PLP are not the party, the members are the party and he's had their support throughout.

 

The Party have voted him in twice.

 

Maybe you know better, I don't really understand it having never really researched it but I have heard Jeremy Hunt talking about it, he said it's a lot better and what he said about it sounds a lot better.

I know US citizens usually bang on about how much better the quality of their health care is compared to ours. You get what you pay for I suppose.
