I guess most people don't know Quantitative Easing is simply creating money out of thin air ie. a magic money tree
Corbyn really isn't that far left when compared to other Governments like Canada & Norway.
Canada have actually one of the better (if not the best) performing current economies. They also have similar anti-austerity policies to what JC & the Labour Party are promoting.
Our current economy is failing in comparison.
Then dismissed it!That's exactly what PLT wrote. Blair was a Tory in Labour clothing.
There have been no local issues in this election, the entire campaign has been based purely on voting Conservative or Labour.
Ask Bummers....
Nail on head!I think most the country doesn't want to go as far left as Corbyn or as far right as the Tories. Somewhere in between would have won it by a landslide IMO. Both parties dropped the ball a bit.
Wonder what will happen with brexit if we get a minority labour government topped up by the SNP.
The man behind it is editing a London newspaper now.
If I understand Charon correctly you can do precisely that. Nationalise the profitable industries like gas and electric, means test any compensation paid, employ more British workers than are "needed", pay them a decent wage and use the profits to help fund the NHS. The wealthy will be worse off whilst the workers will be better off. Problem solved.
That's very simplistic way of looking at it, you seem to have ignored the fact that you need to find £150b to re-nationalise these industries and then the revenue instantly falls as Corbyn's promised to knock £220 a year off everybody's bills.
This is ignoring the fact that when it becomes a monopoly again, it will become inefficient, badly managed and underfunded and the profits will collapse anyway.
Are you saying what I said is incorrect?

Was it in our media's interest to promote these kind of news.?Heard a feature on R4's Today, erm today, about how well the eurozone outside Germany is doing and how they're massively outperforming us. Why don't we hear about this? All we get is Greece, Spain and Italy takes of woe.

If you had read what I wrote you'd realise it wouldn't cost anywhere near £150 billion.

and where did I say that ??

Did it fit their agenda.?
Sorry, I got that wrong, it's £169.15b in the latest costings.
I thought they'd given it to the Hull lad who's MP for Goole?
When EU and COC money runs out we wont just be fighting the south for investment we'll be fighting the North West whilst the profile of our 3 Hull MP's drops post-Prescott & Johnson.
