Wonder what will happen with brexit if we get a minority labour government topped up by the SNP.

Heard a feature on R4's Today, erm today, about how well the eurozone outside Germany is doing and how they're massively outperforming us. Why don't we hear about this? All we get is Greece, Spain and Italy takes of woe.

I thought they'd given it to the Hull lad who's MP for Goole?

When EU and COC money runs out we wont just be fighting the south for investment we'll be fighting the North West whilst the profile of our 3 Hull MP's drops post-Prescott & Johnson.

If you had read what I wrote you'd realise it wouldn't cost anywhere near £150 billion. The profits didn't collapse between 1945 and the 1980s when they were sold off. The power industry is badly managed and underfunded now as May has gone cap in hand to the Chinese to get them to build a power station with guaranteed profits which we'll pay for.

Inefficient means employing more staff than you really need. Its one way of redistributing wealth. As long as the industry is profitable and not a drain on the taxpayer its a very good way of re-distributing wealth. As was shown in the post war period up to Thatcher.

When it was a state monopoly my gas and electric prices were reasonable. After privatisation my bills increased substantially. As a consumer I know which type of ownership I prefer.

We had the slowest growing economy of the G7 group of advanced economies in the first 3 months of this year (0.2%) compared to Canada's 0.9%.

Canada's policies are as good as identical as to what the Labour Party Manifesto details.

City Independent and quite often over the years. Didn't you say the power stations were filled with British workers on good money that the industry didn't need to employ?

In the lead up to an election when people - including handsomely paid professionals within the media - are worried about a high taxing opposition so trot out the line about strong economic performance?

    Never.

The Northern powerhouse was Osborne's idea as he was an MP in the North West. Once he got demoted the political will for it has faded.

If anybody on here thinks that a massive reduction in the freedom of movement post Brexit will result in copious amounts of jobs for English people they may be fooling themselves.
It will result in a big move towards automation.
