    I think us oldies had the better of it, Stanley. Easier and more affordable to see bands in those days.

    Envious of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee.

    Didn't miss anything with the Beatles, SSS. 20 minutes of mayhem where you couldn't hear or see anything. McCartney was off stage for about a third of the numbers with a problem with his guitar but I didn't notice. But you just had to see them to tick the box.
    Stones only cost the equivalent of 32p and 50p when I saw them in 1964, the cost of about 3 pints and 5 pints of beer. Glad I saw Little Richard the same year when he was still at his peak.
    Saw Vinegar Joe, and Dada before them. Got an "evening"and a name check off Palmer when he saw me. Saw him with the Alan Brown Set, another excellent band as well. And of course with the Mandrakes on numerous occasions.

    Wasn't a massive Sinatra fan but can appreciate why others are. Would have liked to have seen him live just to say I had.
